Was anybody really worried about a government shutdown? Just another 11th hour theatrical political drama with both sides claiming victory. We've seen this movie before.

I feel like the tea party was really the first time we even heard about the debt ceiling debate. Now I think everyone knows it has to get done, and both sides are just going to bluster, but it isn't going to be anything to be worried about anymore.

Nevertheless... the vote in the House will be real interesting..!

It ain't a done deal yet, the so called 'Freedom Caucus' still wants to gum it up. You can bet if this deal gets done there will be someone call for a new vote on the Speaker. To get the job he agreed that it would only take ONE person to make that call and they would have to start all over.

Political drama to score some 4th quarter political points. I'd bet the farm omit, it's a done deal.

Passed the House tonight. Don't know what happened to giving them 3 days to read the bill. 🧐 Glad they got it done however it came about. You can bet someone will force a vote on their speaker and go through all that drama again.

I don't understand the debt limit this is to pay for a budget/debt that both sides have already agreed too? This is all about paying the bills you all incurred?
This has nothing todo with the budget, that is a different process. It would be like me at the end of one month refusing to pay my debt that I agreed too earlier in the year.

Repubs ain't about payin' no bills.

Reference history of deficits for explanation.

Hell nobody is paying bills. Trump spent like a drunken sailor after giving a huge tax breaks. Nobody has balanced a budget since Clinton. I no longer care because our politicians in Washington obviously don'r. I need a stimulus check!!!!!!!!

Count me in too... ;)

The hissy fit that the freedom caucus is throwing over this, is entertaining.
