  • Nixa @ BYE
  • Carthage @ BYE
  • Waynesville @ Ozark
  • Kickapoo @ Joplin
  • Jeff City @ Lebanon
  • Glendale @ Willard
  • Belton @ Webb City
  • Raytown @ Neosho
  • Spfd Central @ REPMO

  • Nixa @ BYE
  • Carthage @ BYE
  • Waynesville @ Ozark--Ozark wins, but do they really win? The "winner" gets Nixa. Woof!
  • Kickapoo @ Joplin--Joplin cruises and Hacketts will be a happy place pre and post game.
  • Jeff City @ Lebanon--Leb gets their 5th win in a row and 6th in their last 7. I'm not sure they can beat Helias in the finals, but I think they'll get the opportunity.
  • Glendale @ Willard...Glendale moves on and gets a shot at knocking off undefeated Branson.
  • Belton @ Webb City...Webb finally gets a W. Break out the mesh jerseys and acid washed jeans!
  • Raytown @ Neosho...I think it will be competitive, but Neosho wins a close one.
  • Spfd Central @ REPMO...REPMO's 8th graders might be able to handle this one. Their varsity will play the 1st quarter to ensure the win.
The COC advances the max number of teams possible in week one of the playoffs.

Nixa... they'd destroy BYE is they could
Carthage... but I'll cheer for BYE
Ozark... military needs to bring in more talent for Waynesville
Joplin... I recall the days the Eagles feared the 'Poo... no longer
Lebanon... this could be a decent conference matchup
Willard... someone has to win it
Webb... birds will get it done.
Neosho... let's keep as many COC teams alive as we can
REPMO... could be a brutal win... literally.

I agree with all your picks. But week 1 of districts is arguably the easiest week of the season to pick.

Carthage will have no trouble with BYE but #81 is out and that won't help their case moving forward.

Sorry for Carthage fans but I gathered from the bits and pieces I listened to and watch of the Joplin/WC game that maybe, just maybe this webb group is finally learning to run the veer effectively. Just in time to make a district run and eliminate a short handed Carthage team.

Didn't they grow up learning how to run Veer. Why would they just now be figuring it out?

From other posts, it sounds like they want to Pass way more than in the past, so maybe they are starting to figure that out??

Depends how bad Webb 27 is hurt

- Ozark, just go ahead and take Waynesville to the big farm upstate.
- Joplin, maybe Kickapoo surprises though?
- Lebanon, surprised at how down JC is after their run last year.
- Willard, I guess, based on how their first matchup went.
- Webb, unless things go catastrophically wrong again. Good thing they’ve finally learned how to run the offense they’ve ran since pee wee football!
- Neosho, but this one genuinely feels like a toss up to me. They’ve been exposed against any decent team they’ve played against so far. Have no idea what Raytown brings to the table. Giving Neosho the nod since they don’t have a 2 hour bus ride to make.
- RepMo, by a lot.

I'm going to smash the over on that 2 hrs. But agreed on the point.
Google Maps has it at 2 hours 28 minutes from Raytown HS to Neosho HS, without Friday traffic of course. Either way, long time to sit on a bus and then go try to play a game. Hammering the odds that MSHSAA has never actually looked at a map of Missouri before.

* Nixa --> BYE
* Carthage --> BYE
* Ozark --> Would like to see a Waynesville upset, but Ozark gets it done. Both teams are just playing for one more win.
* Joplin --> Joplin beats Kickapoo for the second time this year and ends Poo's first season in the COC.
* Lebanon --> Too fundamentally sound for the Jays of JC. Lebanon isn't great this year, but they keep getting better.
* Glendale --> It's hard to beat any team twice, and I think Glendale has improved from the beginning of the year. Give me the Falcons!
* Webb City --> Is Webb good? No... Is this a typical Webb team? No... have they gotten better as they have gotten healthier? Yes..
* Neosho --> Neosho picks up its 6th and possibly last win of the year. They have their QB healthy and he drives that offense.

* Republic --> Eww... Going to be a long night for the Bulldogs... sheesh...

Is 81 out for good? It looked bad.
