We’re about a week away so I’ll go ahead and get the COC Pick Em going! The rules are basically the same as last year….
Each correctly picked game is worth 1 point, however some games may be worth more.
- Road wins are worth extra half point
- If 45% or less pick the winner it’s considered an upset and the game is worth an extra half point
- If 25% or less pick the winner it’s considered a major upset and is worth a full extra point
So the maximum potential value of a game is 2.5pts. Only one game met this condition last year - Nixa winning at Branson (which seems odd that Branson was heavily favored but oh well). There were 3 games worth 2pts - Republic at home beating Willard, Ozark at home beating CJ, and Branson winning at Republic.
Selections must be made prior to the start of the game. Posts with edits or changes made after the start of the game will be disqualified.
It will help me if you list the games/winners for the week in the same order that I do since that is the order of the columns on my spreadsheet.
I will try to post updates on Mondays but there may be a few cases where it’s later in the week.

Republic @
Branson - Branson keeps fooling me into thinking they are on their way back up and I get burned every time. Why stop now.
WC @ CJ - I’ve given some serious consideration to CJ in recent years but don’t really think it’s up for grabs this year especially with CJ’s injuries.
Carthage @ Nixa - I don’t know what to expect from Nixa this year but I think Carthage will be fairly on par with last year. Some say they might be better.
Willard @
Joplin - Willard might be a team to pulls some upsets in the COC but I don't see them upsetting Joplin at home.
Neosho @ Ozark - Neosho could be pretty decent this year. I consider Ozark the most unpredictable team in the COC.
