CJ hired a coach who has developed a pipeline. He ran the Webb youth leagues, then started and ran them in Seneca. He is a good coach, but his program development should improve the incoming talent too. Having a group of good kids when you walk in the door will definitely attract coaches to any school, and some guys just want to coach what's in front of them, but it's nice to see some public school coaches who want to develop talent too.It is harder to hire a coach if they don't see talent in the pipeline. CJ hired a better boys coach this time than girls coach because the boys have more talent in the pipeline now.
How are we quantifying better vs worse higher? It is harder to hire a coach if they don't see talent in the pipeline. CJ hired a better boys coach this time than girls coach because the boys have more talent in the pipeline now.
Has there been confirmation of this? I know she seemed to have the Lady Wolves getting better going in to the end of the season!Trish Marsh to Marshfield
Well the Ozarks Sports Zone answerd my question.New Lady Jays coachHas there been confirmation of this? I know she seemed to have the Lady Wolves getting better going in to the end of the season!
yes, big loss for the Lady WolvesHas there been confirmation of this? I know she seemed to have the Lady Wolves getting better going in to the end of the season!
Most recently at Forsyth. I think he was only there ONE year.Nathan Houck hired at Macks Creek was at Ava previously
They have Aldridge, who will be a junior, and Ward, who will be a sophomore. If they have 3-5 other girls who are just average, they will be very good.I know Marshfield had a loaded senior class. What are they going to be like moving forward? Assuming pretty solid if Marsh wanted the job
Boys coach has a really good daughter. But he’s certifiably insane. One of the reasons the old coach left. They have Aldridge, who will be a junior, and Ward, who will be a sophomore. If they have 3-5 other girls who are just average, they will be very good.
Sounds like a lot of small towns. Bad administration or a bad school board not standing up to parents for their teachers and coaches. Leeton, Richland, and Steelville come to my mind at the moment, but there are a lot more out there. They have hidden agendas and the kids are the ones that suffer.steelville fired their coaches. That place has turned into a real cess-pool and fast. One family has a strangle hold on that district....they own everything and everyone. Do better Steelville.
Better play the right kids.Steelville hired Josh Pritchett I saw. He will be a great young coach. Hopefully they keep him around.
That and the boys underachieved. They should’ve supported the previous boys coach better. Most of the time the grass is not greener on the other side. Parents are becoming a huge problem in HS sports, especially if they are in administration or on the school board. If their son or daughter isn’t playing enough or “getting coached too hard” they want another coach. Is that what happened at Steelville?
Parents are becoming a problem??? Parents have been a problem for at least 40 years. This is nothing new. The small town politics have been a problem for at least 40 years too. It comes with the territory and of course some places are worse than others. That and the boys underachieved. They should’ve supported the previous boys coach better. Most of the time the grass is not greener on the other side. Parents are becoming a huge problem in HS sports, especially if they are in administration or on the school board. It was a large school final 4 team this year. Agree they got off easy, and even one of the senior starters told the administration that the coaches told them upfront, and they knew the rules but made their decision anyway - so she told them the coaches were right and even though she wanted to start, she feels the punishment was deserved and there are consequences to actions.Which team did this happen to. I think the coach would have been in the right not to play them at all, to me the players got off easy.
