I saw it was webcast from the 810 Varsity zone website at 7:00 pm.is this on tv or no?
Mshsaa is also streaming the game. Believe it costs $10
I bet the announcing will be super too.
Ahaha. Ole MSHSAA
I've got to hear how he could screw up Valle. Did he pronounce it "Vale" ?
I wonder how many people are going to make the drive from Kansas City and St. Louis to sit out in this weather at 7 o'clock tonightYes. Over and over and over. I thought I was watching the Colorado title game.
I remember him saying "Val" catholicThe dude a few years back pronounced Valle wrong the entire game two years in a row. Can it get worse?

Help me out, Duck (legit):The dude a few years back pronounced Valle wrong the entire game two years in a row. Can it get worse?
Help me out, Duck (legit):
Is it “Val”, “Valley”, or “Valet”?
Last week the Thayer announcers were not familiar with the Valle names and kept calling the Grein kid Green. With German names you always pronounce the 2nd vowel. But how an announcer can get a single syllable out of Valle (Val-le) is beyond me.Duck, do you recall going to away games and the opponent's announcer would want a pronunciation of every player's name?
I admired those people trying to do things right, however, it could be time consuming...and, in that moment, I had other things to do than recite every other name on our roster. To accommodate them and expedite the process, I kept a roster that had names other than "Smith" or "Jones" spelled out phonetically. Laminated.
That way, I could shake hands, smile, and help the guy out. Those that cared enough to ask always seemed to appreciate it.
You'd think MSHSAA could find a guy that could pronounce the NAME OF THE SCHOOL correctly. I believe that would be important.
Unbelievable.

You mean "allude?"These announcers are probably of the same ilk that say asinine things like: "Now, if I were Coach So & So...."
*Well.... You're not. Never will be, either.
Heard this one long time dufus from KPLR TV 11 (Who loves this line) recite it this past season, but he continuously used the coaches' name that had left the program 3 years ago.
Moron. Do your homework. Dot your I's and cross your T's before getting behind the mike and pretending to know what you're talking about.
Note: Psuedoexpert "journalists"! If you are so incompetent that you don't bother to ask how to pronounce the name of an institution correctly...OR....you're eluding to some coach in the present tense that has been long gone...don't even attempt to give the viewers your x & o insights. It's like listening to some chimpanzee explain the rules of yahtzee at that point - its just real hard to take a lot of credence in it.
Sorry, fellow MoSportians, sports media guys can be great, but man oh man...
