Class 4 Semifinals

This class commences Friday and looks fairly clear cut:

Potosi vs. Vashon (2 PM): Schedules and programs do not nearly match here. Stating highly obvious Wolverines are 20+ favorites.

Logan-Rogersville vs. St. Joseph Benton (4 PM): As stated in another thread this is half of a very rare boys-girls matchup double. Benton has built a stout program fast but has not faced anyone quite the level of Log-Rog who expects to be here every year. Cats by 12.

Sooners hit an absolute low vs. LSU then turned things around in time to make the tourney much as I really am not a Porter Moser fan. Support them win or lose will have the crimson on for sure tomorrow night.................

Wasn't there those are small towns so assume not very crowded but need someone who did attend to confirm. I figured as much that is what it looked like on MSHSAA.TV Wed-Thu. The downside to being able to watch on said webcast it keeps folks at home.

Absolutely. Plus the game times aren't favorable. Even on TV I couldn't tell how crowded it was. I remember sitting up top in 2006 to watch Borgia. Not saying it was a packed house back then, but it felt much more crowded than what I could see via TV the last 2 days. I think it could be time to have a real conversation about game times & venue to make it an experience many want to be present for.

I went to the C4 semis and finals in 2010 Borgia absolutely packed their side of the arena and Kearney had great turnout for the final. Semi not so much vs. Republic who had their side painted bright orange fans everywhere.

I agree these times are horrible. Having the biggest game of them all at 4 PM on THURSDAY??????

Will do heading there now. Only game I'm certain will be a crowd is the 2pm. That area of semo will have support from their town and others around it. Think Festus vs LN. I assume vashon will have smaller like LN

Privates, especially in Girls BB, have always had issues drawing folks. I remember a waaaaaaay back exception the best rivalry in this sport in KC (O'Hara vs. St. Mary's) which is now extinct. We are talking early to mid 1980s, BTW.

My nephew Scotty (was assistant youth FB coach here in ole KMO until his little boy decided he liked baseball better doggone it) is a great example. Remember my sister attending our slow pitch softball games pregnant with him now he's pushing FORTY.
