#7 Lawson Cardinals 2013 Record:
12-3
The Lawson Cardinals put together an 8-game winning streak
advancing to the Class 2 Show-Me Bowl to cap their 2013 season. While the
season ended in a loss to Lamar, the Cardinals accomplished much under the
direction of head coach Todd Dunn.
This season a new challenge awaits the Cardinals who graduated
KCI all-conference senior quarterback Garrett Titus and 16 seniors who helped
the team to a 12-3 record.
A senior class of eight enters the 2014 season ready to mark
their mark lest they be overlooked once again in the Class 2 race.
Junior Damien Sapp returns, he earned all-conference honors at
corner back and wide receiver. Senior Trevor Pennington returns at
defensive tackle, senior Connor Hill , and senior Collin Cagnon at corner
back. The offense will see the return of center Andy Schmitz, and senior
running back Preston Smidt, each earned KCI all-league honors in 2013.
