Anyone have any predictions for whom might come down to class 2 or move out?

What’s everyone thoughts outside of Fair Grove, Valle and Lamar?

Can BG and SS have another stellar year?

Any dark horse to surprise and maybe get a good district to come out of?

My pick to build off of last season (unless all of it was senior heavy then nvm) is Father Tolton to have a good year. Or if Ava falls down to class 2.

I think MVBT Liberty stands to improve these next few years under young Acklin. I think they'll compete for the SCA again starting next yr, which should put them in the top 5-10 C2 teams in the state. I don't think Ava is close to falling back down FWIW.

That’s a good point. Previous players who coach can do wonders.

Man how soon folks forget.

The process of restructuring class sizes was voted on / brought up by the coaches. It was their idea. MSHSAA just didn’t conjure it up.

As for Class 2: starts and ends with Lamar. Lost a healthy amount of starters on each side but we’ve seen this before. It’s theirs to lose. Lafayette County returns the most starters of the other top 6-8 teams. Fair Grove has nearly every skill kid back but lost a majority of their OL and front 7. Valle lost 6-7 each side, must replace dynamic QB. East Buch lost everything. BG loses their meat of their team, only 3-4 starters back on each side. SS has decent returnees but lost the biggest difference makers. Adrian lost some beef but have enough back to either be a top 8 class 2 team or a top 2 class 1 team with Marionville. Looking at all district lists a couple other teams with a lot back: Caruthersville, Mid Buch, Fr. Tolton (ish), Warsaw.

Thanks for your input

LC will play Lamar at some point in the playoffs, winner I don't know yet but will have insight later

Not sure the board can handle a Marionville-Adrian rematch...................:):)
Honestly it was awesome knocking heads with the 'big dog' in MO small class last season. That was a great game by two great teams.

That said, I think if they'd left class 1 alone there'd be a lot more 'jewelry' in Bates county . That line just mauled people to death.
