"IF" It happens you would figure for the 2018 season. This is when they would also make the shift to reclassifying every year in place of the 2 year cycle.
I really enjoy looking through those potential classifications. It really makes things exciting. I would like to see them change the catch all every few years. Looking through the list you see schools that have traditionally been on the bottom side of their classification being on the top and vice versa.
How would Lamar and WC be at the bottom of their class instead of the top? Obviously still good but as good? Would bring about some potential changes in the classes for sure.

Multiplier would stay intact.
Idea of success multiplier has been thrown around as well.
Along with school funding based on enrollment to prevent schools from under reporting and staying at a certain classification.
What the heck is the success multiplier? Is this the stupid concept that penalizes teams for working their butts off?
So say a program dominated a class for an extended time, you don't believe they should move up in order to challenge themselves even further?
Wow! I hope this doesn't happen. Odessa as a class 4 team wouldn't be good for the program.

We already play up the whole season prior to playoffs, so no, I don't think a program should be "challenged". It's high school football, not entertainment. We do everything we possibly do with the resources available to us. Why not take the opposite approach and "challenge" the other programs in the class to rise to the challenge. Why does the "challenge" only apply to the team that is achieving success? This mindset just sounds like people whining "why don't we get a chance?" It just sounds like entitlement mentality to me. Maybe I'm out of line. Am I just being a jerk?

Your "opinion" was Not as good. My opinion is that they would compete quite well and already do. So, I guess we know whose head was where.
To me it sounds like you have the entitlement mentality. Why is being challenged a bad thing. It sounds to me like you are ok sitting in a smaller class, building up as many trophies as you can, the easiest way possible. Notice it's always the dominate ones that bitch when this is brought up.
He never said being moved up to class 3 with bigger schools was an issue as long as it wasn't for achievement. How do you move up a team that wins and then graduates to players that won? Crane girls basketball (class 2) may well have been the best team in the state (any class) the last couple years........bump them up!.........they hadn't won a game this year the last I checked because they graduated everyone! These new players would then be playing up a class! For how long?
Yeah B/c If you don't suit Up 33 kids you cant play 11 Man... If im not mistaking didnt the 2 8 Man teams who made it to the championship game both have over 26 players ? Heard stansberry had over 30. Think Its time to buck Up and move Up to 11 Man.. I bet 25 % of 8 Man teams this year could of fielded an 11 Man team.. The 2 teams in the ship and Greenfeild theres 3. They need to make cycles 1 yr. And you shouldnt have the option to stay 8 Man.

If Lamar moved up a class they would be just as good as they are now. That isn't going to change. Maybe the competition would be better, but that isn't a given. But does that make Lamar "not as good?" The past few years Lamar has played and dominated the class 3 and 4 schools in the regular season. In a few of those years, a second team in the same conference has made the finals or semifinals in the next bigger class. Seneca was Class 3 runnerup in 2013. Lamar turboed them that year. In 2014, Monett was beaten in the semifinals by John Burroughs (I Think) 22-20 or something similar. Lamar beat Monett by 3 touchdowns. This year Lamar beat the Class 3 champion by 15 points at their home field. So, yes Lamar would be just as good. But, Class 3 might have a few better teams in each round of the playoffs. Maybe. I believe Trinity would have won Class 3 this year also. Would Lamar have won 6 straight state championships? Probably not. But who knows. They would definitely have been in the top two or three in that class every year.
To me it sounds like people want to punish Lamar for their hard work. They are right. They work extremely hard at what they do, so why make them move up? To make sure everyone gets a participation trophy and somebody else weaker can have the championship? How about those teams get better and compete with the Lamars? What is wrong with that? COMPETE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No, I'm OK with sitting in a class that has equal ability to compete. If that is class three, so be it. "the easiest way possible"... that's funny. Yeah, we're just coasting through class 2. You have no clue. The reward for winning, this year is even harder work, next year. You are obviously one of those who lose so you want to get rid of stronger teams to make yourself look better. Good luck succeeding in the world with that attitude. Are you typing this from your safe place?
How do you know? I never said we WOULD, I just don't eliminate the possibility. I don't mind a little debate, now and then but why do you have to take it to the insult level? Moving a team up because they have been good is a ridiculous concept.
I've never seen a team go on a multi year run from the bottom of their class (enrollment). This is why I think we change the multiplier and reclassify every year. No more of these ridiculous arguments. One year you are on top, the next in the middle, and at the bottom the next.
Not to keep teams from doing it...to keep a balance and these arguments out.

Yeah... That teams like stansberry And Greenfeild drop to 8 Man and hide bc They win.. If you have mid 20s sometimes 30s you shouldnt be playing 8 Man. Ive heard Greenfeild might not come back to 11 even If They could which imo is wrong... Which even If class 1 went to 46 If Valle was still in class one it wouldnt do anything but make their ride to the championship easier.
