Class 1 & 2 favorites?

Marionville looks to be tops in SWMO. You know, other than Thayer..

if Trinity is allowed to play they have numerous Div. 1 players not sure how organized they will be. Lutheran St. Charles is loaded they have recruited 15 tremendous ballplayers from the coaches' 8th-grade development program. He played for the Rams. His 2 sons are the top 5 running backs in st. Louis area. They have a def lineman going to ALA. Helias beat them by a couple of TDS. They beat class 6 Zumwalt west. They are very organized, If Lutheran North is allowed to play they also have numerous Div. 1 recruits.

The lineman you're thinking of is Gabriel Rubio, who is going to Notre Dame. Arlen Harris is definitely a top 15 running back in the STL area, which is loaded with quality running backs. His younger brother is not close to that conversation yet because he is a freshman, but I believe he will one day.

Mid-Buchanan has to be one of the favorites in Class 1.

By the way, will rankings come out this week?

Their Oline is not strong based on film I have seen past few weekends. Rubio is the real deal and a top player in Missouri

Was surprised class 2 Houston leads their district early on. What the scoop?
also surprised Ava was in class 3.

LOL...it sure makes sense that Class TWO has people touting SAINT LOUIS schools. No surprise though. If you are from the city, and can't be assured of winning state, drop from class 6 to class 2! LMAO

Luthern North moved up to class 3 didn’t they? Where did Trinity end up?

Class 1
D1: Hayti or Thayer
D2: South Callaway
D3: Skyline or Windsor
D4: Cabool, Lockwood, Marionville
D5: Adrian
D6: Marceline, Westran
D7: South Harrison, Penney, Milan
D8: Mid Buchanan

Hayti/Thayer vs Mid-Buch for title

Class 2
D1: wide open
D2: Lutheran St. Charles (or Duchesne, had LSC down for 3rd quarters)
D3: wide open
D4: Lamar
D5: wide open
D6: Palmyra
D7: wide open
D8: BRUTAL; St. Pius or Lafayette County

Lutheran St. Charles vs Palmyra

Class 2 got hit hard last 3-4 seasons: no more Trinity, LN, Ritter, Ava, BO, Maryville, Centralia.
Lawson, Lathrop, Liberty, Lamar, Strafford all "down" some this year.

No due to success

Public schools are not subject to the Championship factor. This is for non-public and Charter schools only.
So if a public school like Ava or Webb City moved up it was because of enrollment.

Idk Thayer returns 16 starters from a team that won a district champ and lost to Valle 15-14
Mid Buchanan is, for what it is worth, my favorite in C1. Not sure the KCI has ever come down to the two Buchanans. It will in 2020.

Class 2 keep a keen eye on Higginsville. Also watch ST. PIUS X. The new HC is working out very well there so far.............

Might want to add Hayti in the mix.. They beat Thayer early on like 30-28

I could be wrong, but I believe that Thayers starting QB was out for that game and has been for their last 3 games. I think he is expected back around week 6 or 7. He’s a two way player and by far the most talented on the team. So they lost by 2 to Hayti w/o their best player on the field.
this is all secondhand info

Hayti beat Thayer by 12 not 2, but it has been mentioned that Thayer was without their best player a QB/DB who is probably one of the best players in C1. Thayer has improved a lot from that first game and I think with their QB back they can probably beat Hayti. Having to play Thayer twice is not ideal for Hayti. I think in C1 it probably comes down to Hayti, Thayer, Windsor, or Mid Buc (that QB from Mid Buc is one of my favorite guys to watch in any class)

C2 is wiiiiiide open especially if the STL privates aren't in the mix, there is absolutely no telling what could happen in that class.

Lutheran will most likely beat Duchesne again.
