Howell has no business being in class 5. This reminds me of the Ava LN state title game a couple years ago in terms of size difference.

The Carthage passing game has been pretty good all season. Their d line is about the size of a good D2 team. Most high schools can't deal with that.

That’s not due to bad passing it’s due to the massive size difference with howells defense overwhelming Carthage o line. Jadwin has about half a second to get rid of the ball.

Never seen a class 5 d line anywhere near their size.

I’m sure enrollment says otherwise but Howell does not look like any class 5 I’ve seen. No way they don’t win next week! I have to give Carthage a ton of credit for sold defense and not getting turboclocked and really if Carthage could have avoided so many turnovers maybe they are close here. It was no more than a 2 score game until late so it’s not like they were blown out.

Oddly passing is whats kept Carthage somewhat in this. I’ve never seen so many runs for negative yards, the Carthage o line was just getting absolutely destroyed and that’s partly why there were so many turnovers.

Great season for Carthage no doubt, sorry to see it end a week earlier than that close knit group was hoping. They played Howell as good or better than anyone else has this year.
