I can look through the schedules and, of course, follow large classes MS HSFB but would like the best October 13 or 20 (will pin down very soon) suggestion for the Jackson MS area. I just discovered I have a business trip to Corporate and vicinity that Friday and will overnight..............THANKS in advance.

Best game in that two week period I can see is West Point hosting Lafayette on 10/20. About 1½ hour drive. It's still in the non-district portion of the schedule, and most big match-ups are in the first two to three weeks statewide.

Honestly this will be West Point's 2nd toughest game behind Starkville. If you do decide to take this one in I'll take off and meet you there. Seat back portion of the stands of course.

Once we get the date and pin down the termination time of our meeting etc. will let you know for sure! Excited to get to come down and witness some deep South HSFB!

I'll take a deeper look at the schedule this weekend and see if I overlooked anything closer to Jackson. In spite of being the largest population concentration in the state, the football is lacking. Gulf Coast and NW corner are the regions for regular interesting match-ups.

Okay you bozos! I've been inviting you two, and others, out to PA to catch a game for YEARS!!! And now Cards is offering to take off work!? NOT COOL!!!

Welp, in last night's jamboree West Point lost their D1 QB prospect on the very first play. Doesn't look good. While I'm pretty sure they will be fine without him in the playoffs, they won't stand up against the cream of the crop schedule they have in non-district play. The best team in the Jackson area, Brandon won't be at home in your two week timeframe, although they play at Oak Grove in Hattiesburg on the 13th, and at Petal on the 20th. I'm not familiar at all with the lower classes (1-3) so there might be a good one in that group I don't know about. The Mississippi forum I mostly lurk on doesn't discuss the smaller classes much either. Sorry not much help here. I'd still say the Louisville game will probably be the marquee match-up that week statewide, and there will be plenty of talk if Louisville walks the dog like I think they will now.

Are jamborees necessary? Seems like just one more chance to get hurt.

HORRIBLE news. Thanks for the detailed write up! I will look at Louisville the advantage of where in the Jackson area we are meeting/staying is it is close to NW Rankin but I'd bet anything Oak Grove dominates that one. Will let you know if I can break away in time to travel (should rent a Company pool car for that meeting).
