Just a down cycle. 98% of all programs hit a bad skid at some point.
Yep apparently. That school, both FB and BB, has been so good for so long I just take for granted they will be in the mix every year. Not the last couple.........
Agreed.
If they can stay healthy, I like them for 6-7 wins(possibly) in the regular season.
And maybe even 8-9 when their season is over for the year.
I am not sure I can go to that point. But they do seem ready to have a solid year.
I think they win Willow, Houston, Salem and the POSSIBLY Grove and/or Thayer. Possibly.
And then maybe snag a game or two in districts.
But we’ll see, gotta stay healthy and gotta play disciplined.

I don’t think so. They’re coach is really green but they’ll find their stride with that stud QB of theirs.
I’m pretty confident that Liberty is going to finish #2 in the SCA behind Ava
They will definitely beat Willow and Salem. The Houston game gets strange at times. They will definitely be the favorite. I dont see them beating Grove, Thayer or Liberty.

You maybe right. I will admit that my thoughts are probably highly skewed because of the tradition of Grove and Thayer over Cabool. I think the SCA is way down this year. Ava seems to be best of the bunch, but the rest seems like a big bunch of meh
Ava is definitely alone at the top on my mind.
Liberty I believe is the 2nd best but think that they will struggle more than they should.
As far as Grove and Thayer goes, I still think they’re above Cabool, but as you said, this season is muddied waters and the SCA Is definitely down. I think in the middle of the conference there will be a lot of parity.
I could see Cabool losing to both Thayer and Grove, but I could also see them beating one or the other.
And I think the Cabool/Houston game will be a toss-up. I think Cabool is the better team, but it’s the Texas County bowl. Some years it has been a weird one as you pretty much said.
I do however think that Cabool is a top 2 or 3 team in their district. IF they’re healthy.
They are pretty solid in the skill positions between Atkins, Fleetwood, and Casper.
But they’re going to need all 3 to reach their potential as a team.
I thought I saw something about it reopening as another Mexican restaurant. But maybe not. I’m not sure lol

Cabool is the headquarters for sport shake. At least they use to be. It's like a protein shake in a can. It might not be there anymore.
So DFA is still there in Cabool which is I think who makes sport shake.
The headquarters for DFA is in Kansas City, KS as of now. Idk about in the past.
Pretty sure they’re majority owned by a Chinese company as well.
