Not surprised, with the recruiting Reed does, vs the rigorous requirements to get acceptance at a JBS it was only a matter of time before they were no longer the JBS of old. I assume MICDS will follow suit in the next 5 years as well. The article speakers to MICDS wins over JBS but doesn’t discuss the homecoming history those schools have.
Coward behavior. JBS from 2010-2016 beat everyone on their schedule by 50 points no problems. Now that they are average they cant take it.
Also very hard not to wonder if Race plays a part when #1 MICDS very obviously recruits and has beaten you 94-0 last 2 years and still on your schedule #2 JBS I mean you guess got Zeke from Illinois. YOU recruit too.
LN/JBS was always a good football rivalry. Sad to see a program with multiple state titles, state appearances, Conference titles with a rich history, turn Vaginal during 2020. Sad to see.
MICDS arent cowards so I doubt they follow the lead. LN/JBS also A rivalry, also would be the occasional homecoming game, also been playing eachother for over 50 years.
The academic rigors and how hard it is to get into both MICDS and JBS have led to a drop in kids playing football, look at their rosters. I am willing to bet neither are playing LN in 5 years. I hope I’m wrong.
No, JBS and MICDS alternate homecoming sites and all the sports play each other, it’s a pretty neat thing. As an example, MICDS hosted homecoming this year, next years at JBS. It’s been like that for along time

You’re missing the point. The excuse you’re making is an Acceptance rate. Which they never said. The excuse their making getting beat down which MICDS beats them down too. And how they didnt mind beating EVERYONE down when they were good.

You're comparing apples and oranges from a recruiting perspective. And then conveniently trying to shut down conversation by calling anyone who says what LN is doing recently flies in the face of what high school sports is supposed to be.
I've been saying for a while Lutheran North should just play a prep school schedule if their real mission is getting kids exposure.
Play a national 10 game schedule, you're not eligible for Missouri playoffs, recruit as hard as you want.
That goes for anyone CBC, MICDS, whoever.

JBS had tons of good talent and D1 talent, even another NFL player come through their program. Which is why they destroyed everyone for 7 years.
& Im just gonna ignore MICDS so you very obviously dont know what they do in both girls and boys sports.
Lutheran North is located in the Black Community, majority of the D1 guys in STL are black so just logic would point to they’ll have more talent. Talent isnt my argument.
mines is that every private school tries to get good athletes at their school and programs will have peaks and valleys. Sounds like the Cowards arent liking their valley so they are giving up.

The Article brought it up. Thats why I spoke on it. I personally think its being a sore loser. Like I said John Burroughs dished out many beatings across the state while recruiting, while having D1 players.
No one with any sort of competitive spirit is for canceling or backing out of Conference games. Teams have been playing each other since the 60’s

Well we never had Grey Poupon to put on our braunschweiger when I was growing up either, but my 73 El Camino did have air shocks I used to inflate to look like it was jacked up in the back. Ole BP complains more than my in-laws. JB dropping LN is simply a clear indication of how absurd the situation has become.

I’d like to think I’ve never backed down from a fight, and had my tail kicked more than once, but I’ve said before if I’m going into a bring your own weapon fight, if I have a popsicle stick and you have a baseball bat, I’m turning and going the other way. Has nothing to do w inferiority complex, its common damn sense. This has been said over and over by many, but when one is held by boundaries and another is not, its unequal.
Park hills central has had some real solid teams. Well coached, hard workers, blue collar mentality, has built a good tradition the past 10 yrs or so. They got to the quarters and semis several times. Run up against JBS and Zeke. The extent of Central’s recruiting is crawly bottom and Elvins. Zeke coming in from IL everyday. It’s not the same man. Nothing against Zeke and his family, but it’s not the same set of rules.

PHC is the K-State of HS football. They took a downtrodden program and turned it into a consistent winner for over a decade, including 6 district titles in a row. They have been on the brink multiple times of taking it the distance.
Your statement was "they stink annually". Well in the last decade they've won 75% of their games. Almost anyone on this site would gladly take winning 75% of their games. If that's "stinking annually" then sign me up to stink.

Like I said they are the Phillip Rivers chargers. What happens every time in the playoffs to Park Hill?????? Are they EVER an actual threat?? winning games isnt impressive in HS because tons of teams have teddy bear schedules. You know it and I know it, they arent actually good.
To the original topic.. I’m shocked at how many people are in North’s corner over this one. Yeah JB beat up em them over the years but they weren’t doing it the way LN is now, which is bringing in vastly superior talent(by the truckload). Yeah, JB had Zeke and that was it as far as d 1 players goes on that team.
Carl Reed has brought in five 4-Star ranked recruits in the last four years if you count Ford(#1 in the state for the upcoming season) and a handful of other three star talents. The other teams in the metro can’t boast those numbers combined. It’s silly to pretend this is a pure role reversal and they(JB) are backing out.

Sure let’s say they’re doing a fantastic job at recruiting, because they are. They’re playing with a class 6 talent level. No other class 6 teams would want to play in that conference, and that’s pretty much the point I think JB’s coach is making, the game is no good for either team.
