A lot more. He got away with a bunch of stuff before and it finally caught up with him. Good riddance.
Pretty sure most of the players respect the way he goes about it. You lose by a few to the state champs in districts is not a bad loss btw.

Saying "stuff" basically means things you can't back up...or you follow the crowd of rumors who just doesn't like his style....
He’s a good coach, shitty person. Not speaking for anyone else, just me. This didn’t just happen, he’s had several warnings and didn’t think anything would happen, he was wrong. The reason he still has his “teaching“ position is because he has tenure, his bball job was extra curricular, they do not need a reason or cause to take those away. He won’t stay there, his ego can’t handle that!
Again, if it was bad enough and had many warnings, why is it he still has teaching? Does not make sense.
Gee, I'd really like to know what the final straw was because I've got video of my coach hitting a player and eight years of psychological abuse, and the powers that be won't do anything.
Oh, God, I know! He's probably bragged to his higher-ups about going 19-9 against a schedule of teams that were only 12 games above .500 (369-357).
Think Denton will apply? That would be my guess. I think he’s at Bakersfield currently. I think?
I will say that I have heard from a few different people that the pay @ Liberty is horrible in comparison to most of the other schools in the area (particularly other SCA schools) so who knows.

I would think so as well. But who knows. I was a little surprised that Denton was not in the mix at West Plains. Head basketball coach and then I am sure Wyatt would love to have him as an assistant football coach.
I’m pretty sure Denton was the head Junior High football coach for the few years that he was at West Plains.
I know he played college football but he chose to leave and coach basketball so maybe coaching basketball is his real passion.
I was pretty shocked at who they replaced Benson with. Not going to lie, you would think there would have been better applicants and I’d be surprised if Denton wasn’t one of them.
He probably didn’t have the resume and experience that the others had, but the guy WP hired probably had the least impressive resume of anyone they’ve hired for that job in over 20 years.
I have heard that another area head coach was given the job but he then later backed out. So they went with the current choice. I would think that Denton would be a big upgrade over the current selection. But maybe he was not interested.
Carthage HS still has an assistant basketball coaching position open as the 9th head coach and Varsity assistant.

Wow, I haven't been plugged into basketball lately. Didn't know about the coaching change.. Last I heard about Oak Park was Corbin was trying to get Michael Isaia Howard to transfer in for his senior year from Plattsburg. Heard Sherron Collins of KU fame will be new coach.
Does NKC district still have these easy intra-transfer rules? Is Webb going to stay put at NKC. I don't think Wilson would leave Staley but this be a big name hire if true.

Yes, he was the Head Coach at Golden City the last four years. I think he played at Clever under McTague.
Emphasis on BIG! That dude ain’t playing at his college weight these days. He was their 5th (that I’m aware of) choice. Other than his name and where he went to college, what has he done at the HS level? He’s walking into a gold mine, that group is loaded and ready to roll. The Howard kid would make them even better, that would be something to watch.
Big name? Is 30-something year old Sheron Collins who played at KU 15 yrs ago a big name hire? Or is Sheron Collins who has one year head coaching experience where he was .500 a big name hire? Idk man. Looks like a reach at best.
They have a very good coach on that bench in the Tanner guy, won a lot of games at West Platte, son played the point for OP as a freshman. Maybe he didn’t want it. I agree with your Collins assessment. He will win a lot for the next 2 years, or he better, on the sheer talent level alone. We’ll see after that.
I assume the applicant pool was greater than that...then again, when your mom is the one calling the shots and you can be controlled by admin then I'd say they hired who they wanted.
His dad is the girl's coach at Plattsburg and his sister will be a sophomore next year.
Also, Oak Park is not a private school and I thought only private schools recruited.
