BOYS 2021-2022 Basketball Poll #2 (Release 12/15)

Class 4 Ranking is pretty bad. Should look something like this

Vashon
Tolton
Blair Oaks

The next six or seven are up for debate but the top three are undeniable.

Actually I’ve seen 5 of these teams in person already. And three others via livestream.

Mexico is a good team. I’m not trying to take anything away from the kids or the program.

But frankly no they aren’t. Vashon Blair Oaks and Tolton are in a different class than anyone else in class 4.

Tolton is playing Webster groves SLUH nixa chaminade. Mexico plays wellsville Montgomery Harrisburg, etc.

one team is a good Hs team and the other team is a college team.

One team plays with home grown kids and the other is allowed to play by
different rules and should never be permitted to participate in the public school
playoffs...
Agree 100%.

don’t get me wrong I love the small town teams and programs like Mexico that have history etc.

I’m on your side. Just the state of the system unfortunately. If Mexico played Tolton tomorrow I’d be wearing red and saying go dawgs.

I watched Tolton lose to Nixa yesterday and they are indeed loaded. The freshman is going to be a stud - already is one in fact - but didn't play well in the second half of that game. Porter took a lot of bad shots and overall I didn't think Tolton had very good offensive discipline, credit a lot of that to the Nixa defense

Blair Oaks and Tolton play each other very very soon in the Great 8 Classic. From past years craziness during their matchups to include last second buzzer beaters to end seasons in playoffs and other things I expect this game will not be any different.

One of those kids left, went to Parkview, wasn’t gonna be eligible so he moved back and is magically eligible. Sure, different rules and all....

What grade are Mexico's best players in?

B62........Our Bulldogs finished 2021 with a record of 8-0.
Of the 12 Varsity players on the roster 6 are seniors,
3 are jrs, 2 are sophs and 1 freshman..
Starting 5 = 4 seniors, one soph, however the 2nd five
is nearly as good as starters.
One super standout, 5-11 senior PG Isaiah Reams.

Merry Christmas to you...C =)~

Biggest surprise might be a kid being ineligible at SPS. Starks and Freeman kinda proved that place has a different set of rules too.

How do all these private schools get these kids eligible? I’m guessing their parents aren’t moving, are eligibility requirements different when a kids transfers to a private school?
