It has been noticed the folks that have normally posted a running total of conference bowl records by now have yet to do so........ Im sure its just because they have been busy with the holidays.

I thought South Carolina played well today in spite of the loss. Typical mistakes for a 6@6 record showed up. In that game as well as Kansas States win was a positive. With that said, what happened to Texas A@M ? They look like garbage.

I'm shocked it took you until 8:39pm.

The Big 12 is on their way. Colorado looks befuddled.
Remember when you couldn't block the SEC from top to bottom?
Many good match ups coming tomorrow, I hope it pans out. I'm not seeing Oklahoma stop the I formation. But these offensive coordinators have to be cute.
The West Virginia Miami game was a power vs. finesse if I ever saw one. The stats are interesting.

Interesting that Miami took Mizzou's D-line coach and suddenly their defensive front is super at rushing the passer. Major choke by Mizzou.

Have been busy. And lots can change between now and when the 500 bowl games are totally done... but they are normally posted by now... Dont worry if things turn around, they will be up...

No kidding. He mothered those guys. What a loss. His resume is long with outstanding recruits, some in the state of Missouri. I know of two from my area that are still playing.

Can you blame them? Mizzou being a dumpster fire and the SEC East being a joke has really taken the fun out of this college football season. All of the usual suspects will be back late summer telling us how good the SEC East is.

I hear you. According to the talking heads, the SEC teams will be upgraded by virtue of experienced QB returning in 2017.
As for your ACC bias, I respect the fact that Florida St. played a tough schedule this season.
Michigan is going to smack them hard, right? lol What's your prediction?

Defense improved over the year. They'll lose though.

SEC is 2 and 4. Tennessee is up on the nubs. Actually would like to see Nebraska's fifth year senior qb, making his first start win.

SEC is now 3 and 4. Did anyone notice it's always the SEC #6 against the other conference's #3 or something along those lines. Guess that keeps the games close. Plus it helps the lesser conference's recruiting if they get to play a SEC team in a bowl game.

That's the way it was a few years ago for the big 10 and they were taking a beating. They made different agreements and it's working better. The SEC went the other direction. SC 6-6 vs USF 10-2 is one example. Auburn vs OU is another. Not good Matchups for SEC. Mississippi State and Vandy shouldn't have even been in bowl games with their losing records, but qualified because of GPAs.

Your whole offense is going pro

Cook is a stud and will be hard to top but their passing offense will be much better next year. Defense will be better. Plus they have some very capable replacements for Cook. Overall they will be better.

Its easy to throw the ball with cook in the lineup. Now i see why jimbo got him through that tough FSUville justice system so fast.

With teams still left to play:

ACC: 8-3 (Clemson)

SEC: 5-5 (Florida, Auburn, Alabama)

Sun Belt: 4-2

Conference USA: 4-3

Mountain West: 4-3

Big 12: 3-2 (Oklahoma)

Independents: 2-0

Pac-12: 2-3 (Southern Cal)

Big Ten: 2-5 (Iowa, Wisconsin, Penn State)

American: 2-5

MAC: 0-5 (Western Michigan)

Big 12 needs Oklahoma to win to have their first winning bowl season since Mizzou left.

I know there are a lot of bowl games but, did the ACC really have 11 teams in bowl games? Sun Belt 6?

Dalvin Cook hits holes almost as hard as he hits girls' faces outside of Tallahassee bars.

For being a son of a lawyer, you like to carelessly throw out a lot of accusations around. Somebody who is not educated on what happened might actually believe he did in fact punch a women.

Too many bowl games for sure. But if you're referring to the ACC as in shocked they had quality teams, then you may be surprised when it comes down to them having the best conference in college football this year. (At the minimum top 2)

hmmm... now that the record has improved to .500 you post..... noted. Since you brought up MIZZOU, when do they play?.... nevermind

On a subject I think that we can agree on... Are we ever going to cut back on Bowl Games? There was a time when it was a reward to go to a Bowl Game... Now its almost a punishment not to qualify for one.

I agree. Cut it back to 12 bowls. Top 3 from each power 5. Champ from each group of 5. 4 wild cards. Even that would still leave some bad matchups

bigbevo is 3-2 and they have the advantage of being the only conference not in the playoff. Congrats? Mizzou and OU have the same number of top 5 finishes the last 10 years(and 5 is the highest OU has finished in that time frame...mizzou was actually 4th in one poll)

we need a 16 team playoff that INCLUDES the bowls as game sites. The money would still roll in.

lol Who is closer to that top 5 finish at this point, Mizzou or OU? And for the foreseeable future?

Yes, you're not comparing them...

Good lord man you're dense. VEER your Mizzou buddy was the one comparing them. Hint the "lol" at the beginning of my sentence. It's hysterical to even compare the two right now. Mizzou is a dumpster fire and OU has a chance to finish a solid season. Which is the reason I made the post. Figuring maybe one of you fellas could process the question and by answering, realize how dumb of a post it was.

Now kid, anything else?

I don't really mind the bowl games. I understand your point when it gets to the situation where 5-7 teams have to fill in because there are enough bowl eligible teams. But overall, I like seeing some of the CUSA, SBC, MAC, and MWC teams play that I don't usually see a lot in the Fall.

Was referring to the number on the ACC. How can ANY conference have that many?
Referring to quality with the Sun Belt. They don't have 6 teams bowl worthy.

Yeah, Sooners did finish 6th one year, so understand you wanting to count the top 5. But they have now finished top 5 THREE times after the final ranking of (3 or 5) depending on which poll you care to look at. And have been top 5 two in a row. Comparing the two programs in recent years or historically is laughable.
