I have watched them play five times this year and Buffalo was one of the toughest teams we have played. Are we not very good or is buffalo legit?

Buffalo is a SR lead off/Def line team who a majority 12-15 of the kids have played together since 1st grade. Their QB is a 2 sport All State 3 sport 1st Team All Conf player. Fastest player on any field he steps on changes field position just being on special teams , with a group of Soph, Jr WR/secondary as athletic and skilled (including QBs Lil Bro) as any team out there. Their RB/LB are hard nosed physical football players. Defensively always prepared and attentive to detail.. unfortunately they ran into a 16 time / 7 straight district championship caliber team that is as prepared & detail oriented on all phases as I've seen with athletes who have football in their DNA.

Let’s see - Buffalo came in 9-2 with losses to 11-0 Ava and 9-2 Fair Grove.
And...you beat them by 4 TDs. I wouldn’t throw in the towel just yet

No, but you can really tell they miss their all state noseguard who was injured a couple of games ago. They aren't as good or as deep this year as they were last year (They had ridiculous talent and the perfect scheme for it) and weren't they class 2 last year?

And still turbo clocking most teams. Different players same results.

Different coaches same results youth program the same hmmm
100% BO head coach has my respect for sure. But from seeing that team come out from warm ups, rep Off, Def special teams it's a tradition, honor to strap on thpse helmet & shoulder pads.. Bison group has been together & successful in all youth programs up, unfortunately it's with those few grades. Without the same effort & work riding the talent of a group will run dry. Youth Programs= successful programs

Bo coaches win no where else records for coaches sfter leaving bo it is the youth program not the head coaches

Coach LePage won at Jeff City, not like Blair Oaks, but he still won there. You take away his last year there he had almost a 70% winning percentage, that's dang good for class 6 football. Just because you don't win state championships doesn't mean you aren't winning.
I'll also remind you, he is the one that turned Blair Oaks into what it is today. When he got to Blair Oaks in 2001, they were a really bad program, he won the first state title there without having the youth program they do today that you speak of. That youth program started somewhere, and it started with Coach LePage, and over the years has continued to get better. He changed the entire culture of football there, and I mean absolutely everything. So just like your username says, please "have an idea" before stating such idiotic statements.

Undefeated in class 3 for three straight years, until semi’s. Move down to class 2 and won a championship last year. That wasn’t exactly rebuilding.

Nobody said they were rebuilding his second time around, his first time around they definitely were a complete rebuild. I get it you don't like Coach LePage, awesome. You have had negative comments about him for years.

Well makes you wonder if it was really even a good win for BO?
Buffalo came in 9-2 with one of those loses being to Fair Grove 34-14 which compares fairly well to to the BO score and from what I am hearing Buffalo was not a 100% for the BO game. and if you look Fair Grove got beat by Lamar 50-25 So....

I don't always like comparing scores because teams can match up differently with each other, but if you look at those scores I don't think BO is going to steam roll cAssville, I look for it to be a very competitive game maybe to be decided by a TD or less, depending on how cAssville responds to being on the road. Both of cAssville loses this year have been on the road.... so how will they respond to being on the road and can over come that long trip and hostile crowd and the cAssville fans don't travel well either especially that far.

Coaches come into different situations of programs. It is easier to come into a losing program and build it up. It is so much harder to come into a successful program and maintain, or even make it better. All I know is if you look at the Blair Oaks program, you see little kids on the sidelines (being ball boys, managers etc) that can not wait until it is their turn to be on that field as a varsity player. That is what the great programs do. This time of year, anything can happen on any given night. Lets all enjoy the effort of all these kids no matter what side you are on. They have all put in their work in order to be in the final 8.

Blair Oaks is so disciplined in everything they do. They are impressive in how they warm up, stand on the sideline etc. Quite the program they have built in Wardsville. They are essentially a smaller school version of what the Jays used to be. It wasn't that long ago when Blair Oaks was using Lincoln's field and they practiced on a field that was a glorified cow pasture.

Most people in the area know that this is all thanks to one particular coach who started in 2001... ;)

Right, so if you take into account their success over the past six years they should be playing in Class 5 next year. Bet they could compete as well!
Depends upon how you define compete. They would beat many class 5 teams but they aren't going to grab the brass ring. But this situation does bring up a good hypothetical question. Most of Blair Oaks success was against class 2. Now they move up to 3 based upon enrollment so are they going to get the double whammy of success factor on top of that. Does the success factor apply to publics and privates alike?

Privates only.

Ok i get that. You wouldnt know what town or district based on the name blair oaks. As somebody that went there almost 30 years ago, never thought of it that way.

Wardsville is the town.
Blair Came from former govenor of missouri james blair from cole county. Oaks because the land was full of oak trees. That is what i was always told anyway.

So does anybody think Fatima(if they ever started football) would be confused as a private school? They are located in westphailia.(10 miles from blair oaks just different counties)

People confuse about Hamilton and Penney all the time. It happens.

Back to Blair Oaks. Do kids have choice to go there or jeff city in the rural areas? Thought someone told me that a few years ago.

Jeff city is different school district. So no they dont have choice. But you only have to move like 5 miles to switch.

Correct... Jeff City and Blair Oaks are completely different district lines. Blair oaks district lines can choose between BO or Helias, and Jeff city district lines can choose between JC or Helias. JC and BO do not overlap.

Helias is private catholic school.

I am a Helias Alumnus and grew up in Falcon territory. I was just stating that if you live in either BO or JC district lines, you still have the option to attend Helias as well. Great area.
