Exactly what this country needs - make it easier for billionaires who already cook the books to pay little or no income tax.
I really don't know what power the IRS Commissioner has, or the function they serve.

If the tax code needs reform and simplification (it obviously needs both) doesn't that responsibility fall on our Congress critters?

I don't see Billy hurting too much unless it's on a plate and smothered with gravy.
 
Tax reform is off the table as long as Reps are in charge. They're fine with the current system of loopholes geared towards the wealthy.
The point is we will now have fewer IRS staff to investigate tax fraud.

Really won't be pissing anybody off besides those who pay taxes. for $110,000 a year the job really looks more ceremonial.
