I remember about 25-30 years ago watching Jeff City come to Joplin and walk all over the Eagles. Shoe is on other foot now.
Crazy here in JoMo. Joplin up 61 to 10 at half with a td called back on the last play for hurdling. Almost as if Westmoreland and Davis can score at will.
Funny that Joplin fans still think it's legal to do. Westmoreland still in the game up 61-10. Kinda cheap if ya ask me.
I think back then JC and valley were neck and neck for most championships. How the mighty have fallen.
so hurdling is a personal foul? didnt know it was called that way. figured it would be unsportsmanlike conduct. this game reminds me of kickapoo game. first district game
Hurdling possibly cost Ozark a state title some years back. Would have had a 2td lead on Fort Osage who came back and won game and went on I believe to win state.
Granby East Newton beat Houston 21-20. Only a 5 seed over a 4, but I think it may be GEN's first district win in a while.
Isn’t the rule that if a defensive player is on the ground you can jump over him,,,,but if he is on his feet it’s a penalty for hurdling????
I think that’s why fans get upset,,,,it looks like the same thing happened but a flag doesn’t always get thrown.

I knew they weren’t a favorite any longer but a early season favorite to first round knock out. That is a drastic in season swing.
I personally don’t call this an upset. They did it last year. Just proves playing that difficult KC schedule benefits you when playing in a District outside KC

Had a very near miss in KC: Rock roared back and survived Lee's Summit 17-14. 4-5 as that was I really felt the disparity between these two was immense.

Class 3 likely will be Coach Thomas' fourth state title at three different schools (Boonville, Kearney and Odessa).

4 of their best players they had in summer no longer on team. Two before season started. Two others left for non-football issues.
Still cant believe they lost 1st round.
Second straight year that BSS has won as a #7 seed.
