Any of them considering adding football?

I would love to see some of those schools around Doniphan and Clearwater pick it up. But the funds are hard to come by. A lot cheaper to play fall baseball than to start a football program.

I've heard rumors that Saxony Lutheran is considering picking it up, and there's a reason I didn't list Doniphan.

Isn't there some issue at Cape Notre Dame with some wealthy Alum who made a huge donation that was contingent on the school NEVER adding football? I am old and may have dreamed that notion...but I could swear I heard that from somebody? Anybody know why a school with over 700 kids would not have football?

That 700 includes the multiplier, but the point remains the same, that's a relatively large school to not have football.

I've heard the same thing about a donor, but have no idea if it's true or a local urban legend.

Purdy has over 210 in high school now. Back in the 70's and 80's they started building a football stadium you can still see the outline of the track and where the field would be not sure why they stopped. They have now built two softball fields on the football field.

pretty sure it was about Kevin Bacon dancing on it and the community closed it down...

I heard that Bayless was going to start up football next cycle. Would figure they would be around class 3 under the existing classification system.
