They picked some dude named Rosscup from the Dodgers for cash considerations. That told me all need to know but he is a lefty reliever so they can say they did something. Been in the Bigs for 6 years with 5 teams and had a 5 ERA in 18 innings with the Dodgers before being DFA'd. Sounds like a move to get em over the finish line to me! :p

He’s just AAA depth after the Shreve DFA. Don’t even think he’ll be on the 40 man. That said, if still be shocked to see MO get a name any of us have heard of at the deadline.

Getting a wildcard or winning the division is worthless unless we add a stud pitcher to the rotation and in my opinion a left handed stick to the lineup. Now Wacha is back in the 5th starter role. That is Mo’s big move.

Here’s hoping he doesn’t make a start. He’s not due until after the deadline. Hopefully they add a starter at the deadline that takes that spot.

They just picked another guy lefty off the scrap heap too.

Sadly this probably is the end of Gyorko. Don’t get that. They’ll trade or DFA him to make room on the 40 man. He was supposed to go out on rehab yesterday and then was told not to go right before he left. But locker was cleaned out. I don’t get it. Basically saying Munoz, Robinson, or Lane Thomas is of more value. Batcrap if you ask me.

Traded him for another lefty pitching 'prospect' that is out after having shoulder surgery in June and another minor league pitcher.

It seems pretty obvious this team has played really inspired baseball tonight in response to Mo pulling out all the stops at the trade deadline.
Man, screw Mo. I’m done with that dude. Eff him and his bow ties.

It is sad when your big move at the deadline is a salary dump. Jedd will make the playoffs.

I've said this before, but I think I'll make a prediction now. The Birds hired Girsch so they can fire him at the end of this 4 year playoff drought. MO and DeWitt are butt buddies and MO is untouchable. We know that MO says all the time doing the same thing time after time and expecting a different result is insanity. So now after taking this approach 4 years in a row tells me that this is their new business model and as long as 3+ million zombies continue to buy tickets the only thing going to change is bye, bye Girsch.

I said it 3 years ago and I will say it again.
Trading prospects for a proven star is much safer than assuming these kids will pan out.
We could have traded Reyes and Kelly for a star 3 years ago. Now Reyes’ value is nil and he has done next to nothing for us.
