While I still like the idea of playing everyone in the conference. And appreciate the nine game conference schedule. As I said in an earlier post it would not hurt my feelings if the Sooners told the league "bye" Perhaps it's time to openly put yourself on the market.

things could change Gubba Bump... is this a real by law? (it might be, I really have no idea) or is it like the one that schools arent allowed to have state championship football games played on their fields (that was reported to be true here for a while)

That may be what I was thinking of. I just remember it being a big deal for A&M to beat Texas in to SEC.
I mean it makes since to me. Also Texas has proven time and time again they don't like playing nice in the sand box with other schools and they are large and in charge, so while I think they might bring in a large fan base I don't know that it would out weigh the issues of their ego.

What value does TCU bring to the SEC?

I DON'T necessarily think they are a fit.. but using your own idea that its all about TV sets.. They are the 5th largest TV market in America. That is larger than any market of a current SEC team. (unless you are trying to say that they already have that market because they have a team in Texas.

Is there a bylaw or gentlemen's agreement stating the sooners have to stick with okie lite?

As far as finding a good spot, Bevo,OU, and possibly Baylor should be fine. The other 7, not so much.

The state would love them to stay together.. OSU is not exactly as appealing by themselves. There is no bylaw.. (does not mean the state legislature wouldn't try to do something to prevent it)

That is exactly what I would say. A&M and Texas bring the eyeballs.

I believe it's politically untenable in Oklahoma to leave osu behind.

There are probably more Texas fans than TCU and aTm fans combined but that is another story.

bevo and the sooners are waiting for the gor to expire. bevo isnt going to give up the lhn for the betterment of the dwarfs and big 12 network. the big 12 will be gone inside of 10 years.

Knowing that thats what is going to happen, why wait? Just void the GOR and let the chips fall where they may.

Exactly what I tried to imply above... Texas takes care of #1 period. They really don't give a damn about anyone else...
