KC area—We enjoy Waldo Pizza, Main Slice, and Martin City Brewery.

Lake of the Ozark area—If you find yourself here, don’t miss a chance for some Pappo’s Pizza. Pepperoni Bills in Camdenton is pretty tasty too.

Waldo Pizza is fantastic, and to top it all off, they have old school Trivial Pursuit cards at your table.

Rosangela’s Pizza in Chicago best in Country

Shakespeare's best in MO

D'Bronx/Waldo Pizza best in KC

Costco best for the $$$

And if you’re at the Lake during the summer definitely check out The Fish for some good pizza...we’ve had some good times there my friend!

Someone already said it I believe but Alex’s Pizza in Rolla is legit as well.

Rocco's is good...ROCKY'S CORNER HOT SPRINGS ARK. IS DANG GOOD....Casey or Imo's for chain pizza.
Beer wise I was into the Craft Beer Craze back in early to Mid-00's...But unless it comes from a local brewery in Springfield MO. 4x4,Tie
& Timber,Lost Signal,Great escape....I pass on the high priced 6pks at the Liquor/Super Market and go for Guinness(my favorite beer ever) or cheap domestic beer.

Hamm's
Stag
Schlitz
Old Style
Miller High Life
Bud Heavy
PBR

And if I feel trailer parkish ...Old English 800,Colt 45,Mickey's, Cobra,Steel Reserve or Hurricane. Sometimes it just feels good to drink that stuff in front of Hipster Snobs who get their self worth from paying for over priced fermented Grain.

It’s rare to have a bad pizza. One of the best I had growing up was a one room joint in Piedmont, Murphy’s Pizza. Still there but not as good these days.

Cards, my old man drank Stag and Beast. He never had an issue of relatives raiding his cooler at get togethers.

Now keeping his sons out of it was a different story....

StL >>>>> Pi, Nick & Elena's or Fortels

CoMO >>>>> Shakespeare's (Wheat crust, pepper cheese, pepperoni)

KC >>>> George's StL style was unreal until it closed a few years ago. Rosati's is probably the best now.

G&D in COMO is underrated.

I see the billboard advertisements along I-70....have always wanted to check it out, but I know what I've got in Shakespeare's, so we always end up going to one of their locations, usually downtown. You're the first person that's ever mentioned G&D to me. Will have to give it a try some time.

I'm not saying it's better, but it's still good and at a good price.

Is the new downtown location the same as the old? Only time I've been back since the move was the Miss St. game and we ate elsewhere.

St. Louis- Deweys and Uncle Leo's (south county)
Chicago- Rosangela's is good but for my money it will always be the original Gino's East.

As for the beer debate, two words.....Old Milwaukee

Although it may be one of the worst names in advertising - Griesedieck Brothers beer may be the best cheap beer ever. Throw out one more pizza place in kc - Caddy Shack...

Gotcha. Sounds like I should give it a shot some time.

The 'new' downtown Shakepeare's interior and layout looks nearly identical to the original space...until you walk further into dining room and realize there is easily two times the dining space. New bathrooms and a nice group seating room area way in the back on the alley side of the building, as well.

My first job out of college was for a company owned by two of the Griesedieck brothers. Pretty small company. His office had some pretty sweet Mizzou and GB Beer signs. Their dad started the beer company and then later got into the recycling industry.

Still use the Ping Zings he gave me that we’re his. I was a broke college kid and we had a company golf tourney to play.

When Gussie Busch 1st bought the Cardinals, he could not sale his own beer. Greiesedick still had the beer concessions that year.

For @cru66 , @Duck_walk , @Bendtheknee it's a joke fellas, no need to lose your minds.

Otherwise go to local Wal Marts get a Tombstone add extra cheese and toppings cook at 400 degrees for 14 minutes.
Psh...If you're going to get a pizza at Walmart, at least get the Marketplace meat lovers XL...Over a pound of meat for $10! Splurge an extra $1.50 and get an extra package of shredded mozzarella and really doctor it up. Could serve a party of 8.

the topic was dying and there is nothing more divisive than pizza flavored combo's... you either hate them or love them
Okay, I'll show my age, and bear in mind I don't get to the big city much or even the little city for that matter. But, WTH is a pizza flavored combo?

Most gas stations have them but it is a small pretzel with a pizza flavored filling you will either find it amazing or disgusting with no in between. But I would say you definitely have to try it before you knock it

Are there any good deep dish places in Missouri? Giordano's in Chicago is amazing, and maybe I've just missed it, but you don't see that here. At least not in St. Louis.
