Was extremely hungry and picking at Bosko when the question of where are the best regional pizza places and what are the best topping combinations?

Haven't had it in many years, but Pogolino's in Festus is one of the best regional pizzas in the St. Louis metro area.

I’m all about anything pepper related on my pizza. Banana, jalapeño, green, red, crushed red, black, Tabasco.

Some places to consider:
Reeds Spring Pizza Company
Woody’s in Joplin
Cornerstone Pizza in Lebanon
Joanie’s Pizza in St. Louis (near Soulard)

KC area—We enjoy Waldo Pizza, Main Slice, and Martin City Brewery.

Lake of the Ozark area—If you find yourself here, don’t miss a chance for some Pappo’s Pizza. Pepperoni Bills in Camdenton is pretty tasty too.

Warrensburg's best pizza is 30 miles south on 13 in Clinton called Pizza Glen

Sedalia's best pizza is 20 miles south on 65 in Cole Camp called Calgaro's

Otherwise go to local Wal Marts get a Tombstone add extra cheese and toppings cook at 400 degrees for 14 minutes.

Almost a cliche but Shakespeare's in COMO. You know you are getting a run for your money when they have washcloths instead of paper napkins. They bring that pizza out and those pools of grease on top. Whew
While not nearly as good, we've had frozen delivered to Arkansas.

Speaking of, the best pizza of my adult life was found in Lavaca Arkansas. Blows Shakespeare's away.

Stephy's Pizza

Nothing compares to Shakey's pizza from my early memories. It might have been crap, but I doubt it. Certainly 3 year old me was impressed.

Pizza House on Commercial Street in Springfield is quite good. Andolini's in Tulsa is a notch above, as well.

I ate at some pizza joint in downtown Neosho. Don't remember the name of it, but good pizza and a really cool place.

Pizza Haus in Ashland
Alex's Pizza in Rolla
Fortel's Pizza Den in several locations in St. Louis
I also like Pizza Express in Houston, MO, but it's kind of personal taste. The way my mom made it when I was a kid.
I have been too many places in the state.

Falstaff was prominent in the ole neighborhood growing up. Dad drank Buckhorn as well. I think partly to keep us kids out of their stash.

You just had to mention Buckhorn didn't you? I had totally depressed the memory of that taste in my mouth and now I read the word and its baaaccckkk!
Did three different rotations through Ft. Benning GA. and the only beer you could get on base was Buckhorn and RWB and even then it was one or the other, whichever they happened to have at the time. One tasted like it was made from dandelions and the other from dishwater. My life was perking along just fine without these memories Cards.
