Another season in the books....

Well that does it boys! Missouri high school football has come to an end. PA football doesn't end until December! Sadly, Ampipe did not make the playoffs this year. Ampipe hasn't been the same since that rat Coach Nickerson got ran out! Anways, what was your all favorite, or least favorite moment of the 2016 season? I really enjoyed watching Walnut Heights not make the playoffs! I also see a lot of similarities between Ampipe and Harrisonville. Bunch of hard working, blue collar, tough nosed, underdogs! What a season!

Every Dog has its day.............Ampipe will and so will my alma mater KTown (if they can go to the title game after graduating basically the whole bleeping team last spring next year should be even better). Not sure about a single moment but favorite game was Penney's comeback vs. Lawson that told me the Hornets were destined. Least favorite game(s) as always those first round 1 vs. 8s but the system is the system what are ya gonna do about it? Bring on 2017!

Favorite moment #1 - Watching CJ hand Webb their first-ever loss in the COC in CJ's first game in the COC.

Favorite moment #2 - Watching Monett win the state championship. What a game!

Least favorite moment #1 - The second half of the district championship game when Webb exacted revenge by totally dominating CJ.

Least favorite moment #2 - The end of the season. Can't wait till next year!

Favorite moment #2- Going to my first Blue Springs football game

Least favorite moment #1- Watching Odessas season end to a Clinton team they dominated earlier in the season.

Well, I would have loved to join Tim and maybe get Dauber to come with me so we could relive the glory days, but I am enjoying the good life and the Minnesota winters. I have one black mark on my career, keep holding out thinking about going back to Ampipe to bring back the ol 6-2 stack monster.

#7 Class 5 Glendale(5-0) 40 - #4 Class 6 Kickapoo(4-1) 20

Other than ending Joplin Parkwood's 32-game winning streak in '77, this was the biggest regular season win Glendale has ever had!

How did Glendale do in the playoffs?

They beat the crap out of the teams in their district, then lost to a better team in the quarterfinal. The End. Doesn't matter. Best season in school history!
