Another intersectional dandy: Macon at Richmond

I think Richmond is probably a 3 TD favorite. I would love to see Macon be competitive in this and I am rooting for them, but I just don't see it happening. Macon has a good QB and some good pieces to go with him. If LC is as good as everyone says (Richmond's only loss and was close) then I just do not think Macon is at that level.

Honestly that first Richmond at Higginsville, a very very high level C2, game cries rematch but Macon is coming in with a good record and weather could be a factor.

I've been told by someone who has seen both that Richmond should win and win quite easily. However, if weather is a factor, you just never know.

Speaking of said RB, his grandfather was in my class and was the best big back I've seen us ever produce. He has the same look. Unfortunate we lost him, however we did still handle a good Centralia squad and Lathrop afterwards, albeit at home.

I hope Richmond is ready for Halloween to come calling. I'm certain the orange and black faithful will show up in our usual good numbers cheering hard.

We lost our workhorse RB on our first drive (our only score) in the Monroe City game. If he had remained in that game the outcome (and the opinions of those outside the CCC footprint) would have dramatically changed. Richmond by however much they want.
It was actually a touchdown by said running back in the second quarter, but I do agree with what you are saying. He would certainly help Macon's chances moving forward. Good player for sure.

This time of year is what it is all about indeed! Just wait til everyone sees what crowds and spirit happens when Smithville comes to Kearney in 9 days (barring a massive Friday upset)..............

Oof, you are correct. Still, it was only 12-8 at halftime. Took us from fringe deep run potential to 2nd round district exit certainty in a flash.

Lawson?? or Lathrop?

I would say Richmond and Monroe City are on a similar level, so I would expect a similar result but I know the context is much different.

Not for me when the weather forecast verified.
Does anyone feel Richmond isn’t as dominate as last year? Don’t mean any disrespect but that team that played Lamar last year, and knocked everyone around isn’t doing it quite to that level. Did some key players graduate? Truly curious.

The very, very, very special QB graduated. Don't dare sleep on them, though. Looks like Friday will be very cold could be blustery. Richmond, from a single game live view at Higginsville, has a real good passing offense with a gunslinger QB but seemed to struggle running the ball but Higg's huge physical D had a lot to do with that. This rematch should be on EVERYONE's radar this week.

I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on it. And I wasn’t trying to. Will be fun.
