Manley Shines as Group of Tigers Completes Weekend at the University Nationals

AKRON, Ohio -- The nine Mizzou wrestlers who participated at the 2015 ASICS University Nationals in Akron put together a strong weekend of competition. The Tigers combined for 26 total wins as a group. Redshirt sophomore Matt Manley highlighted the tournament for Mizzou with a fifth place finish and a 5-2 individual record, scoring 14 team points.
Five different Tiger Style grapplers won at least four matches over the two days of action: Manley (five), redshirt sophomore Cole Baumgartner (four), redshirt junior Le'Roy Barnes (four), redshirt sophomore Lavion Mayes (five) and sophomore Joey Lavallee (four).
