Tennessee played like crap yesterday, no doubt. But they were 10-2 and had a Top 10 win and deserved to be in the CFP. Indiana only played 1 ranked team in the regular season and lost badly they had no business in the playoffs. SMU is a tougher call. They made it to the ACC championship game and lost a close one in the last few seconds. I think SMU earned their way in also.
The CFP needs to give the seeds to the Top 4 teams though regardless of conference championship. Penn State is a 10 point favorite on the road at Boise, and Boise got a bye. Texas gets to play Arizona State to advance. Yet the #1 seed Oregon has to beat Ohio State.

Game is NOT at Boise but you are right about the path for #1 being tougher than what it should be on a normal bracket

Heupel isn't the answer. Too inconsistent IMO.
That said, OSU bought the most talent in the nation in the offseason. Their HC better win the natty or he may go the way of coach Nickerson.
Ohio State - Oregon could very well decided the National Champion... as much as I cant stand them Texas will have a say
