2024 COC football schedule

So it is kind of weird that Neosho didn't get Ozark. How does Webb and Carthage get Ozark instead?

Glad to see several matchups between the best teams on each side.

I’m excited Webb will be playing closer to the STL for me to go watch

Ozark should be pissed. They should have been scheduled with Neosho.

Is the champion just the team with the best record even with the unbalanced schedule?

Looks like they did a pretty good job with these schedules. Every one has "winnable games" as well as challenging games. Like the way they did the crossovers. still wish they gave every team one Non conference game.

Joplin at webb 2 years in a row.

I enjoy watching webb play teams we rarely get to play. Nixa and ozark are normals. Wanted to see the all the new members.
Lebanon is the best New team in the other division and they are game 1.

Everyone gets a trophy in todays game. Everyone is a winner and no champion. Champion is a thing of the past.. It is WINNERS now so we do not put others down.

I really like our new conference. I think it's one of the strongest in the state. Bottom line you play against the guys on the other side of the ball. The objective is to get better.

There are some things to love and hate with this. The school that I still believe makes no sense for this conference naturally shows up as a game 1 road trip for Carthage. WC gets a long trip as well week 1 but that should be a much anticipated match with Lebanon that I think a lot of people may be excited about. Joplin at KPoo week one sounds fun.

Functionally I'm not sure how much difference it will make but Repmo and Willard may not be thrilled about being designated "west". In crossover they have basically zero travel except the one week Willard goes to Waynesville so that helps.

Probably just my bias but I see all the springfield and OC teams were well taken care of opening week while the 4 around Joplin all get road trips of at least an hour, Webb and Carthage get 2+ hours.

Question - will crossover opponents always be the same or different every year? Ideally I'd like to see these all as home/home series then in 2yrs re-evaluate all the crossovers to mix them up where it makes sense.

Overall for football this is pretty good minus waynesville but I'm still not enthusiastic about mandatory games in other sports with all these plus the 2 other SPS. For people with multiple kids in other sports this will be a lot of week day travel, worse than the previous COC. At least for the schools down here.
