Greetings,
Drexel High School, located in Drexel, Missouri is in the process of starting a varsity boys and girls basketball tournament that would be held over the Christmas Holiday. This tournament would be the William D. Gordon Holiday Classic – in honor of former Drexel Superintendent William Gordon, who passed away in 2004. We would be looking to secure 8 teams for each division with a 3-game guarantee. The tentative date for the 2021 Tournament would be held on December 27 – 30, 2021.
We would also consider hosting a shoot-out rather than a tournament, which may provide schools more flexibility to commit to one or two games vs. committing to a tournament.
Our vision is to make this a tournament/shootout that provides a first class experience for coaches, players and fans. Players will receive t-shirts, nice coaches gifts, awesome hospitality room for coaches and players, nice trophies, and all-tournament team awards.
