For those not aquainted, Centralia's Coach Erle Bennett and Macon's coach Pete Class are brothers in law. Each year, the regular season winner gets a chair at the family grown-up table for Thanksgiving. Been going on for quite some time as both coaches have had long and successful stints at their respective schools. Really cool tradition.

Centralia (6-2 overall, 6-1 CCC) @ Macon (8-0 overall, 7-0 CCC) for the CCC title, as well as probable #1 seed in C2D6. Ole Pete may get to sit at the grown-up's table for the first time in a long while!

Thanks for sharing, I had not heard that before. That is going to be a great game and they have a pretty funny tradition going on there with the Thanksgiving meal.

Doesn't the loser have to sit on the floor? Both are great coaches and even better men!

Centralia 23 Macon 15 Half.

Centralia unstoppable on the ground. Macon held to 0 net yards rushing and gave up a safety. Macon staying in it via big plays through the air. Macon to get 2nd half kick.

Final CCC standings:

1. Macon 9-0 8-0
2. Centralia 6-3 6-2
T-3. Monroe City 6-3 5-3
T-3. Palmyra 6-3 5-3
T-3. Brookfield 5-4 5-3
6. South Shelby 5-4 4-4
7. Clark County 2-7 2-6
8. Highland 1-8 1-7
9. Louisiana 0-9 0-8

Macon's first outright CCC title since, hell, I don't even know anymore. No where close to the '10 and '11 Tiger squads, but just knows how to pull out tough wins. The QB Nolan Bright has had a whale of a season. The D is gritty enough when it needs to be to keep them in the game. Still, probably will have to stave off revenge from Palmyra then Centralia to take down the district.

Highlights of all the CCC action (except Brookfield's win over Clark County) with a lead in from the Battle/Hannibal tilt.

Cool story...but I always thought it was reffered to as the "Brother-in-Law Bowl?"
