Just returned from a very enjoyable (2,000 mile 5-tanks of petro..) back road cruze of S.Mo, Ark, TX & OK... celebrating our 55th year of marital bliss (ok, a couple were boarderline..) that included spending a couple nights in Lebanon while attending the Starvy Creek Blue Grass Festival in Conway. Had a great meal at Dowd's Catfish & BBQ.
The Razorback state has some very challenging roads and we took advantage of most of em in the red GT fastback.
The Talimena Scenic Drive (OK-Ark) is a favorite drive any season and Mena is home to a very nice original brick/stone RR depot. Many old vehicles still waiting to be discovered in Arkansas including a rare 1957 Ford Fairlane 2-dr sedan delivery with original petina..
2.22 at DeQueen, Ark was the best gas price.
We reentered into the Show-Me state near Anderson, with stops at Camp Crowder, Diamond and Lamar. They play football in Lamar, don't they..?~!
Had to get home for Fridays Homecoming as i'm hauling a queen candidate in the
red topless pony... Life is good...
