Pretty hard to grab the face mask if you are hitting them in the midsection.Or tackling by facemask
In high school besides be a stud running back Isiah also caught passes and could block like a damn brama bull.Gall reminds me of Isiah Davis from Joplin who has been an all American at South Dakota State . Gall is faster tho and a better all around athlete
Webb kids are saying this. Not sure if true.Heard that one of the stud star players from this game failed a drug/steroids test but player was aloud to play because the school appealing the decision.
Guys play on stress fractures all the time. Hard for me to believe a coach going rogue and ignoring the doc or the athletic trainers. If that's true Carthage coach needs fired
Are they appealing quietly?Heard that one of the stud star players from this game failed a drug/steroids test but player was aloud to play because the school appealing the decision.
So I heard from a few Carthage kids that this was made up in order to mess with Webb City so they'd get excited thinking Gall wasn't playing only to see him suit up and go to town. But now they are assuming he played in spite of a drug test. At least that is what they told me. That's the problem with starting a rumor is sometimes they catch especially if you are feeding it to a group that really wants it to be true.Webb kids are saying this. Not sure if true.
If this is true, he would be held out until the district title game.Guys play on stress fractures all the time. Hard for me to believe a coach going rogue and ignoring the doc or the athletic trainers.
There is an athlete at CJ like this. Won't even mention the sport. So I heard from a few Carthage kids that this was made up in order to mess with Webb City so they'd get excited thinking Gall wasn't playing only to see him suit up and go to town. Another funny thing I heard at the game was that according to a Webb guy (who moved from Carthage) - people in Carthage are just as excited for Gall to graduate as people in other towns. I guess because they are tired of hearing his name so much and other kids not getting a chance.
It's almost like some people don't understand why they're so good. Smh.I guess because they are tired of hearing his name so much and other kids not getting a chance.
I'm just speculating. Obviously you're not playing on a BROKEN ankle. Stress fracture? Sure, happens a lot. And you're probably right, he'll sit a few weeks to try to get it healthy then give it a go. Again, all speculation. If this is true, he would be held out until the district title game.
I am just saying that if he plays just as much over the next few weeks it probably isn't true. Even the Joplin game is meaningless.I'm just speculating. For the record I have heard NO ONE in Carthage express that sentiment. If anyone does indeed feel that way it's probably 2 or 3 parents who have seniors in competing roles this year. There is an athlete at CJ like this. Won't even mention the sport.
Truth. I knew what you meant. If true, he gutted it out and got the game they needed. Now he can rest up.I am just saying that if he plays just as much over the next few weeks it probably isn't true. Even the Joplin game is meaningless.
Nah, there's no way that could be true. For the record I have heard NO ONE in Carthage express that sentiment. If anyone does indeed feel that way it's probably 2 or 3 parents who have seniors in competing roles this year.
Takes all kinds, huh? People are interesting creatures.I think mainly this fellow was just word vomiting his frustration about the game. He had moved from Carthage to Webb City and losing to the town you moved from is particularly tough for some Webb transplants since generally they move expecting to always be winning. A guy I work with moved from Joplin to Webb and since then Joplin has beat Webb EVERY time they've played. If it weren't for the fact that Webb still managed a few state trophies in there I think it might have actually moved his kids back to Joplin by now, lol.
Can totally believe the second paragraph. Parents get jealous that their kid is not front and center. Saw comments on social media a few years ago where a couple of CJ parents were very vocal about the star player being mentioned as leading their team in the Joplin Globe, and other kids not being mentioned. Parents just need to stay out of those conversations. So I heard from a few Carthage kids that this was made up in order to mess with Webb City so they'd get excited thinking Gall wasn't playing only to see him suit up and go to town. When Katie Scott was at CJ (basketball) I sat right in front of parents who were very upset that the team ran everything through her. I wanted to tell them that the college scouts aren't wrong lol.Can totally believe the second paragraph. Parents get jealous that their kid is not front and center. I've been around losing programs in recent years. I swear, parents are ridiculously happy if there are positive vibes on social media and they (parents) are "included" in the program. Whether it be serving meals, or attending community events, or seeing their kids on Twitter or whatever social media platform. But the team stinks. Yet parents don't seem to care because their little babies are getting recognition. It's the strangest damned thing to me. All of these things are positive, for sure, but there is a reason we put numbers on the scoreboards and track wins and losses. Can totally believe the second paragraph. Be easy to check b/c one part of the allegation was he lost his scholarship to a certain school b/c of the alleged failed test........... Just check that schools signing class.....if he's still listed or not, then that may help squash or prove the rumor. (* allowed)Heard that one of the stud star players from this game failed a drug/steroids test but player was aloud* to play because the school appealing the decision.
If this rumor and everything going around was started just to mess with Webb City, that is really sick. I feel sorry for the kid for having to deal with all of this.So I heard from a few Carthage kids that this was made up in order to mess with Webb City so they'd get excited thinking Gall wasn't playing only to see him suit up and go to town.
