Sad development out of Hillcrest.

After going down mid 3Q against WP last Friday, QB is done for the year.
Shoulder surgery.
3 other guys went down in the 3Q for Hillcrest and won’t be playing this week. 2 concussions and a leg injury. Including their starting RB/OLB and starting all conference TE/MLB.

That makes Friday’s game against Marshfield an interesting one for the Hornets and sad to say but with their QB(and best athlete) done for the season, finishing above .500 for the first time in over a decade becomes virtually impossible imo.

Hope Weaver is healed up and ready to go for basketball season. Nice kid, good athlete. Tough break.

Survivor Week 2

Fifteen of the 18 competitors remain. Rawlathaballa90, Northlandfootball, and Hangmanbobbyjaggers picked teams that lost so they are no longer in the hunt.

For those that remain, remember you can't use the same team you used in week one. Only pick one game per week. (Carthagefan - I used your first pick of Marquette for you the first week).

Survivor League

I think we’ve had one before. You pick one team to win each week (11 or 8 man). If that team wins you advance to play the next week. If your pick loses you are out of the contest. You may only pick a team once in the season. For instance, if you pick Webb City to win week one, you can’t pick them again the rest of the season. Get your pick each week before the game starts.

KC Metro Calpreps Rankings through Week 3

Obviously, some weirdness here. Liberty North carrying inertia from last year's rating still. Beaten by No. 9. Blue Springs South suspect. They got smoked by Kearney at the NW Camp. Gardner Edgerton seems low. Platte County having to climb from bad finish last year, apparently. They are low.

Webb City Dynasty is OVER!

The W.C. Dynasty is done! Webb City will never be what they were. Unless they start recruiting again. It amazes me how good Webb City "Recruiter High School" was when they got to dominate Class 4 for all those years. People moving in all those years and some how school enrollment never went up that's super SUS!
