Football T shirts

Hey guys,

Just like everyone else I'd like to start my own brand of t-shirts, and I'd like to make them football based.

Now I am well aware that using club names and badges is well off the menu, but what about players' names?

If using players' names is forbidden, then can you at least use the club name or player name on your sales website to describe what and who the t-shirt is based on?
Fußball Trikot Borussia Dortmund
For example, if I am going to make a t-shirt with a drawn picture of a footballer (let's say Beckham), along with a slogan that does NOT include any hint as to who the player is with words, can I describe the t-shirt on my website as "Beckham T-shirt"? So just to go over the example once more, the t-shirt has a drawn picture of Beckham on it (so it's a picture that looks like him, but as it's not a photo, who's to prove it's him), and has a slogan on it like for example "England's greatest free kick taker" can I advertise it on my website as "England Beckham T-shirt"?

NWMO Conference predictions (guesses LOL)

Definitely see some wash, rinse, repeat in 2023 but perhaps one or two of these will surprise some:

KC Suburban Gold - Liberty North
Silver - Lee's Summit North
Red - Oak Park
White - Grain Valley
Blue - Kearney

GRC (11m) - Gallatin
MEC - St. Pius X
KCI - East Buchanan
MRVC West - Odessa
MRVC East - Richmond

Have to wait for Classifications before daring to venture into any of that. Would really, really love to hear from 8-man fans etc. about that class this very expanded year (Bosko knock off the bleeping nap jokes this year I mean it, buddy!)!

Also very ready to hear about any "darkhorses" out there. Didn't include the WEMO/I-70 conference not sure how that aligns. Anyone with an official list would love to see that.

NWCMO Pick Em 2023 early info

Good heavens already under a month til kickoff!!!!! This year will follow pretty much the same format as last but will post the contest format and rules in its entirety for new players the night of the Jamborees. Week 1 will post Sunday August 20 and all games have been selected (26 total - a kitchen sink piled full of guesswork as always) for the opening week.

Heads up one major change will be 8-man expansion. What all these new schools will do is beyond a dice roll.

Looking forward as always to this! Lots of work but very rewarding and YES there will be prizes again this year (going back to gift cards).

See you all soon!

MSHSAA FB schedules and notes pre-2023

Happy Independence Day! Been working on NWCMO Pick Em (way early I know) have settled on 26 games so far (8 of them 8-man, a record without a doubt) but was wondering something on MSHSAA:

Why does it seem all the aforementioned 8-man and small-medium class 11-man schools have turned in their 2023 schedules but many of the KC Suburban ones remain blank? Do those leagues turn theirs in at once or are those the individual school's responsibility?

One final note again back to 8-man: This expansion continues (which I all but expect) will have to examine doing two contests side by side beginning in 2024. I guess the big question there is are any Central-SEMO-STL area schools considering moving to 8-man?

Our wonderful Governor

Just used his line item veto power to cut 10 million dollars out of a bill that passed both houses in Missouri that was to be spent on acquiring right of way and moving utility poles to clear the way for extending the 4-lane highway on to the Arkansas line. This route has been designated to become I-57 from Sikeston through Poplar Bluff and on to the Arkansas line where it will meet with the Arkansas project coming north out of Walnut Ridge and be I-57 all the way to Little Rock. It is currently U.S. 60 from Sikeston to P.B. and U.S. 67 from P.B. on into Arkansas and the plan is to raise all of it to Interstate standards between Sikeston and P.B. This new portion built to interstate standards would give truckers a more direct route from Chicago to Dallas, Tx. and help the economy of every town along that route. The governor has just shot a big hole in that plan unless they can come up with a more federal funds to keep it going. They are about extend it another 4 miles but that will make it end at Neelyville just a few miles south of P.B.

NEMO Commitments

Pretty good year for high end talent in Northeast Missouri.

Hannibal - Aneyas Williams (RB) - NOTRE DAME
Bowling Green - Bleyne Bryant (LB) WYOMING
Monroe City - Waylon Degrave (WR) LINDENWOOD

As far as overall team play goes:

It is now or never for Hannibal in my opinion. I am skeptical but a healthy Aneyas Williams could lead them to the promise land.

Bowling Green lost a lot but returns a lot and is well coached. I expect them to be a top tier team in Class 2.

Monroe City lost a lot and will be a little down from previous years, especially with the bump to Class 2. The Degrave injury in the quarterfinals really hurt them last year. They are well coached too so I expect them to be competitive.

Still Worried about your kicking game.I'll come to you!!!!!
