I will be traveling to Grandview to check out week 2 GV and see if they have cleaned up the play. They could be a very strong team but must protect the ball.

Have heard Grandview has quite a big team compared to other years so interested in that as well

If your job is on the line, who is your starter?

My opinion is that I want to see Horn get meaningful reps. Let him start. I would love to see what he can do. If he doesn't give you what you want, then you have Cook waiting in the wings. I'm not a QB coach and I don't see practice every day, but from the limited view of Horn, it's hard to not see his raw talent. Horn is your ceiling, and possibly your floor. Cook is safe but limited.

We regularly heard from Joey in the preseason, and I haven't seen him post since the Platte County loss last Friday. Does anyone personally know Joey, and could they please check on his safety? I wanted to make sure that he is OK.

Week one is in the books and really no big surprises. Monett is young and played like it at times. Reeds is decent, but I would say clearly not as good as last year. Mac County at home was able to put up more of a fight with the neers than I thought. Everybody else the scores looked about what was predicted.

Aurora over cAssville. this is my upset pick Saw Aurora at some camps and their skill looked decent and they have size.

Monett over Mt Vernon, again going with my heart on this pick. Love my cubbies!! Mt Vernon is very talented and very well coached so this would be a huge upset.
Lamar over Log Rog, I will be surprised if this game an't over by halftime.

Who knew the Bay Area was located on the ATLANTIC not Pacific coast....................Stanford and Cal headed to the ACC, folks. Cannot make this up.

Battle of the KCMO charters newbie KC KIPP Legacy at University Academy at 5 PM. Raytown visits Excelsior Springs at 7. I am planning to catch half of the latter game in person have to get up early Friday so cannot go past that unfortunately but will try my best to post scores before hitting it for tomorrow night.

I guess the turtle, Mitch McConnell had another “episode” where he froze up when asked a simple question and had to be escorted away.

I figure he has at least two more 6-year terms left…..

We return for another year of the pick em. Still doing the swmo small school teams like we have since the 11-man exodus. Figured we might see a few more teams hit the 8 man circuit out of the SWC but everyone has stayed put. Unfortunately, I don't see any of the others moving back anytime soon. Anyway, here we go.
