Higginsville (Lafayette County) 53, Sparta 45 - Twelve Courts of Christmas Hy-Vee Arena

Battle of state ranked teams, sorry just posting this was on Thursday night. Unofficially, Sparta's Lafferty had 30, Mayes, and Loveland had 5 each (next highest scorers). Higginsville was paced by Button with 12, George and Merritt with 11. Huskers are now 9 and 1, Sparta 8 and 1. Huskers are idle until 2024. Merry Christmas and Happy New Years everyone

Supreme Court refuses to fast track Trump

Appeal so it pretty much will get hung up in the courts forever.

Listened to a retired Judge (I think) being interviewed on PBS about the election interference case. He said that when Trump called Georgia State officials and told them that he won the election and they needed to find the 14,000 votes that Trump was excercising his rights under the first amendment to "petition the government for a redress of grievances"

Citizenship eligibility

MSHSAA eligibility rules for athletes obv has the citizenship clause. 2.2.2 gives info for if a player is eligible or not depending on the type of offense. Question is if players are held to that standard, should coaches also be held to it? I agree for drug, alcohol, stealing, assault type crimes there should be punishment, but objectively it seems rather odd to punish a 15-18 year old for making a dumb mistake but to not hold a 22-60+ year old coach who is mature enough to know right from wrong.

NIL in basketball?

How come we don't here more about NIL in basketball outside the Cooper Flags or Zions. You see basketball players faces I would think there is substantial NIL but all I ever hear about is football.
Also I've noticed football offers tons of GameDay official visits but very rarely do I see high school players post that about basketball?
Maybe I'm a little shortsighted as to basketballs popularity because I live in Big 12 country

Its That Time Again

Okay you BOZOS and NINCOMPOOPS, its the time again. Time for a nice, much needed, holiday hiatus. I plan on taking this time to celebrate the holidays with my friends, family, and yes, MY WIFE!!! I would encourage you all do to the same. Sometimes it's good to step away and recalibrate.

So don't be alarmed when my posting stops! I WILL BE returning in 2024!

I wish ALL of you and yes, that even includes THE MoSports CLOWN @HomeyR, a very Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year. Or whatever you chose to observe, I hope it's a good one and is spent with those you love.

Bosko out!

Mizzou Cant Recruit In-State

Mizzou is doing terrible in-state 2024 even with all the advantages they have this year.

If they cant dominate this year then they never will.

NIL laws in Missouri + the best Mizzou season in at least a decade yet still cant get the top guys in State.

Wingo 5 Stars going to Texas

TE 4 Stars from RayPec 6’4 235 going to Georgia

WR 4 Stars from CBC going to Ohio State

Tackle 6’8 290 4 stars from Rockhurst going to Michigan

Aneyas going to Notre Dame

DT 6’6 305 4 stars from Hazelwood Central going to Oregon.

Edge Rusher 6’5 240 4 stars from Glendale going to Tennessee

THIS Is the class that you compete in the SEC with. Our state rarely produces this many quality players period. Especially in the Trenches this year, this is SEC size. Mizzou has 1 commit in the top 15.

With all the advantages its just safe to say they’ll never get it done. We’ll just be good once a decade until we can lock down in-state.
