We are here.

We are in Cassville. Watching. Sneaking. Lots and lots of troutses in the roaring river, aren’ts there, My Precious?
Yes, my love. We sees them. Lots and lots of troutses. We can see them. Raw and wriggling.
Soon, everyone will be going to Lamar, won’ts they, Precious?
Yesss. And no ones will be left to guards them. They will be left for Meeee!
You mean US?
Yes, yes. They will be left for us.

Are there any Trinity believers YET?

Trinity Catholic travels to LaSalle, Ohio, and lays a 33-0 haymaker on a traditional Ohio power! CONVERSELY, Colerain, the #1 team in Ohio, beat LaSalle 23-0! In addition, Trinity, as you may know, barely lost to East St. Louis in 3OT's! East St . Louis lost by six points, to the #3 ranked team in Ohio, Massillon Washington! I for one, vote for giving credit where it's DUE!:)

They appear to be getting their fair share of street creds on the national messageboard!

Do u still think Kearney has a chance of making it to the big game? Does any of these other teams can make a long run in the playoffs?
Can a unknown team make a long playoff push?

A change mshsaa should make

I know people have a lot to complain about when it comes to Mshsaa. I also get they try to cut down with travel especially with the smaller schools. I feel we don't get a true championship game though. Instead of D1 vs D2, etc. every year why not continue the point system (its not perfect but its not bad either) through districts and use it for seeding. I believe this would create a more balanced playoff and Championship game.

Drew Brees

Is it off subject to talk about the NFL on MoSports As you might guess by my user name who I root for on Sundays. Haven't heard much about Drews performance Monday Nite on talk radio, so I will get something going with you guys. With all the negative talk about the NFL,I believe Drew is one of the RIGHT things it has going for it . A fierce competitor- but doesn't go scream at his coaches or team ( like Tom B ) a true team player and leader - who leads by example, and a great dad and husband it appears for sure !! Joe Montana has always been my favorite ( since we are twins - born same day- month - year- and hour ) but I believe I have two favorites now !!

What traditions are unique to your towns football program?

Just interested to hear other football programs unique football traditions. It's what makes Friday night special in every town.

At Harrisonville during the Bob Barrett era. After a victory the team would gather in the endzone and take a knee to listen to Coach Barrett's postgame talk to the team. When it was complete we would count off our points together as a team. This tradition died when Bob retired after the 1989 season. It lasted for 15 seasons.

Back in the 1970's we used to shoot off a cannon after touchdowns.

CBC HOSTS NATIONAL POWER ST. JOHN'S COLLEGE

There's nothing quite like Friday night lights, but a sunny Saturday afternoon is close. There are several high profile matchups slated for Saturday this week. With the University of Missouri on its bye week, look for the Tigers coaching staff to make the rounds here as it tries to convince more talented locals to pledge to the hometown team.

The biggest matchup of the day features the area and state's top-ranked defending Class 6 champion CBC (5-0) hosting national power St. John's College (4-0) out of Washington D.C. at 1 p.m. at Ross Stadium.....
