Sumner Bulldogs once a powerhouse in Missouri HS football.

St. Louis Sumner once a Missouri HS football powerhouse of the 1970's, 80's and early 90's no longer has football in 2019. This season they merged with Soldan to allow their former players to play football. I know things change over time, but kind of sad to see a once great program decline to the point of no longer being able to field a team.

When overzealous PA announcers go a bit too far...

...and attempt to be cute/funny while an opposing player is injured and writhing on the field in pain.

This week's edition features St. Dominic of O'Fallon. After a quarterback sack, the PA guy claims the defender was all over the quarterback "like a bum on a bologna sandwich" while the player is obviously injured and medical personnel are headed onto the field.

Nobody came to the game to watch/listen to you, buddy. It may be time to dial it down a few notches.

National Signing Day...Toughest Time Period In My Life!!

I know yesterday was National Signing Day for College Football. In the Djordjevic house, it is always a tough day. It brings up a lot of memories and i an extremely rough time in my life, when i was lost and didnt know what direction my life was going to take.

Growing up in Ampipe i always played to win, after Nickerson blackballed me i wondered every day if i was ever going to get to play again? If someone was to ask me exactly what was going through my head during this time in my life i would probably tell them the following...I was tested everyday, everything was at stake, I couldn't afford to lose, I had to wonder if I had all the right moves, I had a dream...but that dream had begun to sour, I was busting to break out I had to make all the right moves. I had discovered growing up in Ampipe, that winning was the only way out and I was worried if I had made all the right moves.

Spoiler Alert, with some help, I made the right moves!!!!

Anyway...Congrats to all our new College football players, I know several big schools in our area that were bragging about the amount of signees they had so let me give you a run down of my Senior year....

Brian (Or as i liked to call him Bry) --- Southern Cal
Shadow --- West Virginia (He always wanted to go there)
Tank --- Furman
Mouse --- he played ball
Salvucci --- Pennsylvania State Prison
Me -- Cal Poly
Nickerson -- Cal Poly, then to Minnesota State, then on to Pro Football in Orlando. (Fixed)
Lisa --- No where, she wanted a Music scholarship, but had to stay and work in Ampipe. Kinda sad.

JC at Joplin

First time I've watched joplin this season... dang. At least half if not more of the 14 touchdowns have been 1 play. Its 61-10 at half.

Not enough JC fans to even represent all the cheerleaders. I realize it's a long drive and they are the 8 seed but still you dont watch your kids last football game??

actually look pretty good vs packers. defense playing well,Rodgers is just a difference maker. reids playcalling has been spot on adjusting to moores abilities. he should do the same when a gimpy mahomes comes back. really wish sherman could be used more effectively. gives the offense more versatility.

After 7 Weeks (Small-School Edition)

Taking my stab at the rankings after this week of football.

It was a little more difficult this week so in some classes I added some extra spots.

Keep in mind, I wasn’t able to get a score on the Trinity game, it may be posted somewhere on here, but I’m going to assume they beat Miller Career Academy this week.

HS football coach suspended....

Plainedge (N.Y.) High School head football coach Rob Shaver was handed a one-game ban for his team's 61-13 blowout victory against South Shore (N.Y.) High. The score was in violation of a "lopsided scores policy" for schools in Nassau County, which includes Plainedge, per the New York Post.
Just read this on MSN... The opposing team was undefeated and the other other head coach had no problems with the way the game played out.
