the archdiocese will follow the health department rules Trinity will not play

St. Louis County schools are trying to play out of St. Louis county but Trinty will not be one of them. Trinity is the only catholic school in St. Louis County, the leadership said they will follow health department guidelines. Trinity should have done like St, Mary's, Cardinal Ritter, and Dubourgh and opted to the spring, big mistake. Catholic schools will never go against authority it is a very bad look for a school of faith. Sam Paige isn't even going to consider football for 3 more weeks and the numbers and hospitalization in St. Louis County is skyrocketing.

COC Pick Em Week 5

A lot of 100% scores last week! Is Branson pretty decent this year or is Neosho just bad at an epic level? Not sure what to think about CJ. WC is back. Nixa is still looking good and Ozark as well. Carthage didn't play so I'm still not entirely sure where they fit in. Joplin has lost 2 games but did beat Webb City. So at this point I'd say WC is the favorite but Nixa probably has week 7 circled on their schedule.

Not sure how the canceled Carthage game will factor into the COC picture.

For this week ---

Branson at Carthage - Branson looks improved. Not sure what effects rona will have on the Tigers. Might be a closer game than people expect? Carthage 35-21
Joplin at Willard - Willard is due for a win but I don't see them finding it against the Eagles. Joplin 41-20
Neosho at Nixa - Nixa by as many as they want.
Ozark at Republic - I believe either are capable of winning this game but I'll go with Ozark 28-21
CJ at Webb City - Webb City by a lot. Let's say 48-10

Four weeks in here are two teams to watch intently..............

1) NIXA. Was very shocked to see (I follow MS among other states) one of Mississippi's top HCs hire on here. He led Pearl MS to at least one 6A title (thought I remembered another) and is already turning things around there in a BIG WAY. They are likely to go Class 6 and will be a major contender................

2) HELIAS CATHOLIC. Didn't take too long for Hentges to get that program back rolling. This week's game vs. Rock Bridge is the only competitive one left in their regular season. They should stay Class 4. If so this may be your champion.

Jackson has a problem

Several, actually. Not only do they still have two open dates but they also have a problem with their defense – it's too good.

Last night they held Cape Central to negative yards rushing, blocked a punt for a touchdown and took away the ball 6 times. This repeatedly gave Jackson short field positions, meaning the offensive yardage stats will look meager. However, the scoring percentages from the red zone are off the charts.

I know what people say, "They haven't played anyone!" I agree, but even so, this year's Jackson defense is a monster!
