Since the 2017-18 season, I have been to 111 St. Joseph Christian basketball games and have missed 19 of their games. Their record in the games I have attended is 54-57. Their record in the games I have missed is 19-0.

One of the games they hit a half court shot to send the game into overtime and won in OT.

Another game, they stole an inbound pass with two seconds left and hit shot at buzzer to win.

Another game, they were down by 1 with the other team shooting 1-1 with 5 sec left. The other team missed and one of their players fouled 90 feet away from basket to give SJC player 2 FTs to win it.

I missed their last two games. They were down double digits in both, but the basketball gods realized I was not there and intervened.

Tale of two halves. Strafford dominated the first half with good 3-point shooting, while CJ kept missing short shots. CJj warmed up in the 2nd half and Strafford went cold in the 4th quarter. Very entertaining game! Two tough teams right there.

Who wins this district?

There is always talk of changing the playoffs here in MO. Many state they would prefer to see a method similar to IL. One argument for such a change is that MO sees top many first round blowouts. I went through first round games looking at margin of victory for the first round in both states. I did not include 8-man.

In the next Month or so, College Heights announces that they will go to 11 man football.
They just purchased the old 4seasons sports complex and will build a football stadium there soon.

Currently averaging 14 pts, 4 reb, 2 ast, 2 steals a game in 34 minutes/game as a soph at D1 Northwestern State in Louisiana for former MSU assistant Gipson.

He’s scored 16 or more on 5 occasions including 16 against Texas Tech in the season opener.

He was a great guy. He coached our kids at a summer camp as if they were his own and was willing to sit down with any high school coach for hours to explain his air raid system. What a character.
