REPUBLIC NAMES NEW BOYS VARSITY BASKETBALL COACH
Republic, Missouri--
Republic School District would like to welcome Coach Tim Brown to our team. The Board of Education approved Brown to serve as the varsity boys basketball coach and physical education/weights teacher at RHS for the 2018-19 school year. Brown brings with him 9 years of successful experience in education, eight of which were in head coaching positions. His track record of on-court success in his previous positions along with his experience in leading all facets of a basketball program make him an excellent fit for Republic.

Brown is a believer in building positive relationships with students along with encouraging goal setting and strategic action plans to achieve them. He indicated, “In education, it is important to have a high level of knowledge about how to train student athletes and how to relate to them. Outstanding teachers and coaches have the ability to maximize their students’ talents and abilities.”

Most recently, Brown served as the head basketball coach at Fair Grove High School where he was also a PE teacher. Prior to his time at Fair Grove Brown served at Hollister and Spokane. During his previous coaching experiences Coach Brown led his teams to two District Championships, two Quarterfinal appearances and one Mid-Lakes Conference Championship. In 2015-16 and 2016-17 Brown was named Coach of the Year for his school’s district. Also, in 2016-17 was named Mid-Lakes Conference Coach of the Year.

Current members of the RHS basketball team will have the opportunity to meet Coach Brown today during WIN time.

Please join us in welcoming Coach Brown and his family to Republic!
