I don’t believe pleasant hope is playing 11-man football. And I thought at one time I heard Sweet Springs was going 8-man.

Pleasant Hope played 11-Man the past year and they're too big to go 8-Man. They're was rumors Sweet Springs was going but nothing was confirmed
 
I looked after reading kaching's post, and I found that Pleasant Hope has 2 games scheduled so far for this season, against Greenfield and Lockwood. For what that's worth...
 
I did not see Dexter. They should be Class 3, I would guess. Not sure what their number is but they have been Class 3 forever.
 
Pleasant Hope had hardly enough to finish the season in 2020. I think they’re trying to rebuild and going JV and or 8-man. They can play 8-man - just not qualify for the playoffs.
 
Greenfield and Lockwood are both going 8 man. Pleasant Hope is playing a JV - 8 man schedule.

Isn’t there supposed to be 64 teams in class 1? Smallest 64 enrollment wise? Does SCA bumping up bring smallest class 2 school (Highland) back down?

Also I only counted 61 teams in class 1 but it says 63?

I am confused.

Sorry i might overlook some teams in class 1. i though i have 63 when i made the post.

here the reason why class 1 is 63. so .20 x 314 = 62.8 so they're should be 63 teams in class 1 next year

20% of football playing schools are placed in Class 1
iii. The remaining football schools will be divided equally across Class 2-5 as outlined in MSHSAA Board Policy regarding classification procedures
 
So, the bottom three or four class 2 teams will drop to class 1. That changes districts a lot. Again, pleasant hope is not playing varsity this year...
 
The class 4-6 topic has plenty of discussion bumping this thread for back to page 1.

Any early predictions on who wins class 1, 2 or 3?
