Wow Mizzou can compete again

In my wildest dreams did I thin Mizzou could take West Virginia to the wire. This team
will just keep getting better and better. Tremendous coach. I was hoping for 14 to 16 wins would
ne great but I think they can win may by 18 what a great improvement over last 3 years. Really
enjoy this team and so cool to see Mizzou basketball fun again. If they can win 8 in the conf they could get into the NIT no way without Michael anybody would expect that. So Coach Heath you thought you destroyed us but guess what we are back.

Frustrating loss although we showed we can compete vs big boys.. Dumb dumb technical on Geist and guards completely backed down when game got intense. Need to win out in non-con and get that Illinois game to have a chance at the dance!!
 
WVU will be a handful when they get Ahmed back. He's basically their only post presence. Man, they guard hard.

Hard to win, no matter how big the lead, when you have 7 turnovers in 9 possessions. Rough.

Keep in mind DF, MU likely not in the position to win had it not been for Geist's early play. But he did go nuclear, get the T, and played brutally bad after that. Hard to figure why Martin stuck with him that long.
 
They were fun to watch. The game was horribly over officiated. They just have a lot of youth...we will be inconsistent and drop some games that we shouldn't probably. We can flat out guard and contest shots! Getting tips on 3 point shots is nice!! I like what they are doing right now. Just hope those threes keep falling.
 
Mizzou looks a little better than I thought they'd be without Michael Porter. Credit to the staff and players for keeping focused on playing hard and winning games. Still too early to tell if they are good enough to finish in the top 5-6 in the SEC, but early signs are a bit encouraging.
 
Need for Harris to grow up in a hurry. He is the point guard of the future, but clearly not ready at this point. Sure was fun watching this weekend.

They're probably a bubble team w/o him. Middle of the pack in the SEC, I'd guess. Should win more than they lose. Maybe 10-8 or 11-7 in conference. That normally gets you around 6th or 7th in the SEC regular season...If they get him back, it's not going to be for any extended period before SEC play is done. Or at least you wouldn't think. Best case scenario is they can tread water and put together a solid tournament resume without him. If he comes back, you hope he can contribute and make them better. Would make for a fun postseason.

Most years in the SEC this team would look a bit better. But while there really doesn't seem to be an elite team this year, the quality of solid teams is much deeper than in recent seasons.

They seem to improve on a daily basis. Sunday was tough, but a good sign this early. Get a solid game from the point guard and they win. They will get it figured out and they can be a tournament team.
