World Series: Cards vs Royals

The guy who kicked the first 63 yard FG did NOT kick soccer style. The NCAA Basketball Tourney is still quite popular in case you hadn't noticed.

Did NCAA Basketball contribute to Football in some way that I'm not aware of?
As for the (4) Kickers who reached 63 yds, One straight, three side.
The Great Sport of Soccer wins again...

So if the Royals and that red team from across the state make it to the World Series can we have Denkinger throw out the first pitch?

I'm sure that somebody would be happy to walk him out there and they could play the sounds of some one punching through a fan so that he would know what direction to throw it.

Peace be with you.

After winning Game 6...
7 was boring.

Bring your A game next time St Louis....
Peace be with you and your troubled city

A straight on kicker did it first. The "great sport of soccer" is once again on the sidelines since the U.S. lost in some kind of tournament I heard they played in. As I said football is NOT the only sport in Missouri at the high school or college level and NCAA basketball is pretty big deal.

Once again 3r you missed the point. Soccer is not about winning Championships but rather producing quality "Kickers" for America's favorite Sport...Football .

You said so yourself that there is more than just Basketball.

As for the NCAA doing more to help promote the nation's pastime, sure they could do more. I would argue that many Hobby Sports like Tennis could help out by simply not taking up so much Air Time on the Major Networks. Just think if the US Open were replaced by Pee Wee Football. The knowledge gained for future Football Stars would be unmeasurable .

It's great to see we finally agree on something!

Glad to see you think we agree on something, I'm just not sure what that is.

What is this "tennis" and "soccer" you speak of ? I know I am not the brightest crayon in the box, but I have never watched any of these games of which you speak. Do they intice athletes to forget about the only sports that count? Baseball, football and basketball?

Don't know Duck personnelly but I think deep down he's not a bad guy. Anyone who can be a Card fan for over 40 years and still admit that the better team and city won fair and square 29 years later can't be all bad...
