1 vs. 2 in Class 1 Quarters. Will Stanberry get revenge or does Winston have what it takes to knock them off for the 2nd straight year? Thoughts? After watching Stanberry play the last couple of games struggle with the speed of Jefferson & north Andrew guards. I am worried that the guard play of Winston will do what they did last year in this game.
I have coached HS basketball for the last 15 years & taken 4 teams to the final 4 & it has been my experience that speed beats size when size does not play good team defense. Stanberry has a lot of problems stopping the dribble drive & that is what Winston is good at. Winston has trouble stopping the inside game of the bigs but Stanberry does not make a great emphasis of pounding it into the bigs. With that being said the team that plays the best defense will win it is just a shame that it is not at Columbia being played for a state championship between 2 undefeated teams.
