Winona wins 3rd Class 1 State Championship

Winona won its third state title today beating Bernie 2 sets to 0 (25-21,25-21). The Lady Wildcats finished Friday's pool play undefeated (6-0) and did not drop a set in the post season. Congratulations to the Lady Cats and Coach Francie McBride!

Their tough schedule sure paid off for the Wildcats. They peaked at the perfect time and played their best volleyball of the season the last few weeks. Tenth final 4 appearance and third title. Also what a tough path to get to the gold. Last years state champs Eminence, runner up and undefeated Valley, former champions Sacred heart on their floor, then the final 4 teams.
