They are missing out on recruiting waiting so long to hire someone. They had an interim coach this season so they should have been ahead of the game when it came to finding somone.
heard jones was ticked that a joey broke the news so he backed out. He didn't want his name linked to all those personalities/handles.
I broke no news, except that Coach Fran Farmer was being hired.

Heard from a pretty good source that the bayou boy is no longer a candidate for this position.
Regardless who it ultimately is they need to get on the stick and get someone hired! Frankly I thought this may possibly be a local HSFB HC who would get this position. Guess we will all have to wait some more..............
They are on month four or five of having an interim Athletic Director. So it looks like they need an AD and a football coach. Their facilities are under construction. From 1950 to 2000, they had 7 coaches with a 70% winning percentage. Now they have had 7 coaches in the past 20 years with a terrible record below 20%. Things have gone the wrong direction. They need a savior and a leader to revive the death zone, and they need to pay big time if they want to survive. If someone like coach Ambroson were up for it, I would get out the check book, and give him a long term deal, and PROVIDE support needed to climb back from the edge of death.
I'm hearing that the construction project is running out of money.
Considering all of that, it’s baffling to me that they moved from NAIA to NCAA
Did an absolutely AMAZING job taking a decent Smithville program to State elite status for several years! Best of luck to him and whomever heads down to Liberty with him!
Definitely changes everything over in Smithville but, if the assistants stay put, they will be fine.

Or get promoted. They have a couple of good candidates in house, IMO. If they are interested.
It's a moderately growing suburban district that should have all necessary resources. No reason not to do well, unless it isn't important to admin/district.
