One of the oldest liberal arts colleges in the Kansas City area has fallen on significant financial troubles.

Totally agree. They should have stayed in the Heart of America conference and the NAIA. They have not been the same since going to D-2. Bigger is not always better.

Wealth of the alumni? Prestige of the degree? Size of the school?

William Jewell could be a football powerhouse. Close proximity to KC, desirable attractions nearby, plethora of talent across NKC etc.

It’s a crime they aren’t figuring this out faster.

Could be competitive quickly as far up as they wanted to go IMO.
